Early pregnancy symptoms

Hey everyone

I was just wondering what symptoms you all got when you found out you were preggers?

Would it be normal to be having cramps, and short stabby aches in abdomen and lower back (sometimes into hips), plus total no show period (7 weeks after first day of last period - altho i'm irregular and mostly sit at 6 weeks between periods), and (sorry if TMI) white stretchy CM. I don't get sore boobs when AF is due but i feel kinda aching a bit at the muscles on top of boobs at chest to under arms they're not so much tender tho (only occasionally tho - like right now)

I did a pregnancy test yesterday afternoon but it was negative.

I'm going to try testing tomorrow first thing in the morning as i know that's the best time to try.

Please help

Those sound like pregnancy symptoms but could also be PMS symptoms as well. They're so similar it's often hard to judge just off of how you feel. Take another test and let us know!

Hey Jillymac, I am like you.. my regular is very irregular. Af like every couple of months or longer. What you are describing could be pg, could be pms, but actually could also be late ovulation. Anytime you have cm, go do the bd! What would help you the most would be temp charting. That takes the guess work out of it. Ummm, I found out a week ago I'm pregnant, this will be my third, so I'm about 7 weeks now and last week I cramped a lot, and just spotted a little on my due date for mensus, however that was it, I still cramp some, but it is mild. That is normal when you're pregant, atleast I have it now, and did with my last three, I think it's the swelling of the uterus. The fact that you have white stretchy cm makes me think that since your cycle is irregular, maybe you're ovulating, because when i ovulate I have a lot of sharp pains in one side and the same cm you described, now I don't have any cm. It wouldn't hurt to take another pregnancy test, maybe a different brand, but if it comes up negative chances are you may not be pregnant... but, who knows.

my first two pregnancies... my boobs felt heavy...and ached...I "knew" something was going on a couple of weeks before I got the + sign on a test...this time arround I was either ignoring any symptoms or just didn't have any

no i haven't yet, I confided in my mum that we were trying, she's a nurse, she's going to get me a free supply of tests from the health centre. I'll try again first thing tomorrow morning.

I would just like closure one way or the other - the waiting (and symptoms) is doing my head in!

I have NO idea what is going.
Feeling a bit blue today cos yet again the test is negative.

It's as if the negative line got bolder and bolder just to rub it in!

The thing is I'm still having all these symptoms - ones that i would never normally have, and yet no period to show for it either.

Bit gutted cos i am clueless as to what is going on with me and my hubby was even pretty disappointed that i wasn't pregnant which is kinda hard to deal with as well

Ah well just need to get in the mindset that i've missed one for whatever reason and get on with things and ignore the symptoms.

Might go to the Dr's at somep point.

You should go...you want to make sure that you do not have an ectopic or molar pregnancy, both of which might yield a negative test, but also keep you from having your period

Thank you for the advice - they both sound a tad scary so hoping that's not the case.

I had something similar happen to me. You hormones could be really off. I was 17 days late and then I bleed a bit, then I got my actual period on the exact day it was supposed to come the next month. My doctor said that my hormones went crazy and it caused these weird cramping and the fatigue and the nausea. There could be nothing wrong, or you could be pregnant but I doubt that something is wrong, even though I know we all tend to think that worse. Good luck!

Also alot of women wont show a positive hpt for awhile. All women are different I heard of stories of the women not getting a positive until months into her pregnancy. If you still dont get your period, then maybe go to the doctors for a blood test. It will let you know for sure. And the stress of not knowing could be making your body have weird symtoms.

Yeah i read about those women who get negatives on HPTs but find out they actually are preggers when they get a blood test. So there's always hope i guess.

I was thinking i might leave it for a bit in case i just happened to have missed one period for whatever reason - altho i didn't change anything in my diet, i wasn't stressed, the only thing that possibly could have stopped it coming is thinking about it too much - what a vicious cycle!

I feel sooo bloated tho, even my trousers are too tight, and i get most of the symptoms in the evening time (nauseous, sore boobs, even more bloated etc) for some reason - i don't know if that would lead to anything?
