Here, let me contribute to the on topic-ness of this thread. My sister got her ears pierced by this teenage girl. The gun got stuck on her ear and she freaked out. But, she still has her ears pierced. I think getting my tongue pierced hurt less than getting my ears pierced. No, I take that back. The week after was torture!

lol i couldnt imagine getting anything pierced, i hate needles, and snakes, and spiders, im getting over my fear of rats though due to my roomies stack of like 20-30 (momma #2 is having babies today) post # 97

I am not scared of needles. I've had blood drawn many times. I also had to have an IV in my hand once. The whole piercing thing wasn't too bad and once I get tired of the tongue jewelry, I will take it out. I just hate wasting $75 LOL
I'm terrified of attics. I won't go in my attic at my apartment. I asked my dad to come over to get my Christmas tree out of there because I won't so much as climb the ladder. Someone asked me once if I was locked in the attic as a child as a form of punishment. I was like "uh, no". LOL I'm not sure where the fear stemmed from.
Oh, and I'm scared of roaches and spiders. I sprayed a spider in my kitchen last week with Windex. I felt empowered!

Sorry...off topic. I just had to reply b/c I'm terrified of spiders too and I've been known to spray them with any handy household liquid too. Ever tried spraying them with hairspray? Aerosol hairspray is best b/c you get a steady stream...then they're just stuck to the floor or whatever.msjones21 said:
OK, so I won't totally be off the topic, I've had a total of 4 holes in my ears and I used to have my belly button pierced. Now I'm down to just one hole in each ear. What can I say? I'm boring!

Jenptcfan, Do all the holes go away totaly or do you still have scars? As far as needls go. I could give myself a tatoo if i wanted. The Lord blessed me with lousy pain recpetors and a strong mind. Heck i've stabed myslef with a needle on purpose before. lol long story. Anyways. I would like to hear why you would get them piereced? If you like em i guess it's cool. I just can't understand how damaging your body and putting something shiny on it is cool. That's me though. To each their own.

If you consider something the size of the tip of a sewing needle a scar, I guess I still have scars. You'd never know it unless I showed it to you. The belly button hole has a little bigger scar because the ring that was in it was thicker than an earring is. But it's nothing anyone would notice unless I pointed it out either.Koop said:

Why would you do that?You'd like to know why I would get what pierced? My ears? Because I wanted to be able to wear earrings without having to wear clip-on earrings which hurt like crazy. My bellybutton? Because it was something I had wanted to do for a long time (not just something I did on a whim) and I live such a goody-goody life. I just wanted to do something a little different and I didn't want to do anything permanent. I knew I could take it out at any point and it would be gone. I'm actually thinking of getting it re-pierced at some point with a ring that doesn't contain nickel b/c I found out I'm allergic to nickel and my last ring contained nickel (which is why I eventually removed it). I never regretted getting anything pierced though.
