How many of the girls DON'T have their ears pierced? I have never gotten mine pierced and was wondering if there are any women/girls here who haven't either? I don't think I will ever get them pierced...at least not any time soon. Although I do wonder if I'm missing out on getting earrings and all. Is it really that great?

I wear nice rings from my ears and from my belly... once upon a time when I was younger, I wore a little stud in my nose.
For me, as someone who loves to dress up and be a woman.. depending on the jewellery I wear, I can be funky, glamourous, or elegant.
They are great fashion accessories...
But I dont want to convince you.. if you are happy, God bless you.
But thats why I love piercings.

Well i know this thread was adressed to women, but i thought you might like to hear what i have to say anyways. Personaly I find a clean body that has no "extra" holes in it or marks on it truely beautiful. My last gf had her ears peireced and i loved to give her earings and see her enjoy them. But honestly i was never too into them. They poked me in the side of the head all the time too. Just thought you might like to hear that some guys like it.

I was told by a guy friend today that guys don't care about ears being pierced. I have kind of small ears and I used to have ear infections when I was little, so I have just chosen not to worry about having them pierced. Lately I've been having second thoughts since I would like to look less plain. But, like you said, maybe some guys find it beautiful. I'll have to see what my boyfriend thinks thanks.

Very welcome. I know some guys love it too though. (shrug) I say do what YOU like. And plain isn't bad. My favorite ice cream flavor is vanila, I hate stripes and most prints. I"m a solid color kinda guy. I take my coffe black and generaly prefer acustic music. Plain is great! I like to be able to enjoy the simplness of things.

koop is cool because he likes plain stuff. funny you should mention ice cream...in high school I had this theory about guys...I thought of myself as being plain like vanilla and my friends as more double chocolate or something...so I knew I would have to find a guy who PREFERS vanilla

As for piercings: I do have my ears pierced, but I don't ever use my lobe holes. INSTEAD (laugh) I have my left ear's cartillage pierced and also my left tragus (the cartillage flap thing in front of the ear canal against the head). I also have my right nostril pierced. good ol' nose ring that I adore.

Well, coming from someone who is pierced in the earlobes and the tongue I am a bit partial with my opinion on piercings. I think that a pair of earrings really makes an outfit. Because I've had my ears pierced since I was 5 I feel less "put together" when I leave my apartment with naked earlobes. I just love jewelry. I think I have more tongue barbells than I do pairs of earrings LOL and nobody sees my tongue but me.
But anyway, they make really cool looking and comfortable clip-ons if you ever wanted to dress up an outfit without having to put holes in your lobes. Trust me, clip-ons today aren't your grandma's clip-ons, they make some pretty trendy ones these days.
Just do what you feel like doing. Guys, unless they have some body mod fetish, won't really be moved either way by earrings. They just don't go out of their way to notice stuff like that. Although I did date one guy who loved my sterling silver hoop earrings. That was the only time, though, that a guy commented on my earrings.

yah i agree msjones, guys dont usually notice earrings. but they do notice me NOT having my ears pierced! The guys I have met here at college have all commented, from almost the first time I met them, that they noticed my ears are not pierced. go figure.
Clip ons? Where can I get some cute ones that don't look silly? I used to wear clip ons when I was little, but I grew out of them because back in the day they looked so tacky.
I kind of like not having to worry about it, but at the same time I have some outfits that would look good with some cute earrings.

Premier Designs jewelry carries some lovely clip-on earrings, but you have to purchase them through an independent sales rep. I've seen some cute clip-ons at Kohl's department stores as well. I'm sure other department stores would have some as well.

Living, I didn't get my ears pierced until I was 20. I only did it then on a dare. I wore earring for a few years, but now, I hardly ever wear them anymore. If guys notice the fact that you don't have your ears pierced, consider it a good thing. It's something that sets you apart from the 90% of girls your age that do have ear piercings. If you really want to wear earrings, then do it. It's cheap and it's no big deal. If you just want to do it because you feel more plain than girls who do, I'd say DON'T. You're the unique one...not all the others out there with pierced ears.

My sister has had so much trouble with her navel piercing that I have reconsidered getting mine done. I love my tongue piercing though!

The only things that I think are ridiculous are lip area piercings. It just looks dumb. Ears are cool, eyebrows can be cool.
I know that some people are allergic to certain metals so maybe your sis is one of them.

I usually wear very simple earrings, just so my lobes aren't naked. I think that simple hoops or small studs are simple and feminine.
