Surprisingly, not many people are aware of the consequences of the lifestyle they choose. Only few people knows these things like scientists, politicians, CEO's.

Sadly, many politicians and CEOs rather spread disinformation concerning these things to make people believe these lies, so they can continue living wasteful lifestyles (Ironically, wasteful lifestyles / consumerism is what sustains our global economy, and thus sustains these very rich CEO's).

Most people, and even many Christians hate / despise this truth.

At least these latest event show the undeniable fact, if people don't spend, economy falters. You have spend (wastefully, way beyond needs) in order to sustain the economy.

We're dealing with a huge cancer in this world. Collectively, we are still far worse than these virus we fear.

Not dumb. Selfish, rebellious, stubborn, proud and independent. And yet they can also be generous, hard working, altruistic, self-sacrificing and caring. Humans are a mixture. They still bear the image of God, even though that image has been distorted by sin. God thinks we are worth sending His only Son to die for. We are worth saving in God's view. Ultimately, all who who accept Christ will be transformed into the likeness of Christ. All humanity can experience this. Not all will. That is the choice that we have to make.

Good point. I would only qualify that some humans have done better than others. I don't want to promote the Romantic conception of the "noble savage" but certainly some human groups knew (some still know?) how to live in harmony with the earth. Maybe the culprit is civilization and city building? Well, I guess that brings us back to the Romantic conception.

We were told to multiply and subdue the earth:

"God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground."—Genesis 1:28

God's "balance" in the present age is Man on top, earth under his authority.

God wants people, lots of them! He wants them to subdue the earth. Subdue what? Bambi? If the serpent was already in the Garden then something happened prior to our fall that affected creation (IMO). Subdue confers disharmony and the authority to address it.

So, from this one Scripture we can do away with any man-made attempts to depopulate the earth as Satanic. Likewise with any slander that Man is somehow on the creation's "turf" as an intruder. The fantasy of a return to some supposed pristine nature where man and beast live in natural symbiosis is energized by Satan, as it is a lie.

One only has to embark on a walk in the forest or mountains, and then keep walking and walking and walking until despised civilization is a faded memory to see through this lie. Then and only then can the horror of "nature" be revealed and truly appreciated, and the command to subdue it make perfect sense.

It has nothing to do with earth, it is God that they are rejecting that is causing the problems. And will continue and get worse over time.

What is smart about not being able to reason? Not being able to create? Believing that animals are living in balance with the earth is a Disney fairy tale fantasy. Pop philosophy from a cartoon.

You can also be misinterpreting the context of certain things.

We have already filled the Earth and subdued it thousands of years ago.

And rule over the fish and birds is to master sea and air travel. We have also accomplished them already.

Now, we're only just making life very difficult for everybody by mindlessly multiplying. Eventually, we'd be killing each other if we don't stop this madness.

By "balance" you mean maintain the status quo and never change anything. Inner-city Los Angeles has a great balance, being like nature a constant battle against all other inhabitants for resources. When one man has more than another, the have-not steals it and balance is restored, much like the hungry coyote and the well-fed rabbit.

Yeah, I want to be like that.
