  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am only afraid to die when I consider my children missing out on having a natural father as they grow up.

That's exactly how I feel. I lost my daddy at 14. The Lord blessed us with a wonderful step-father so I know that should be an example to me to trust God if that should ever happen to me. I place my prayers and trust with God when I ask Him daily to let me live long enough to raise them....

I don't know guys... but, as I know that most of the people that knew that they are going to die because of sickness and they have given up hope... God gave us hope so that we will be able to stand up and do good as long as we're alive.. I wish I can share the word of God with those people and let them realize that God is waiting for them and that they shall not be afraid but rejoice... and so do their family...

I agree with you on this very much. Just recently in my family we lost a love one to cancer. He struggled with it for 5 or 6 years. At the beginning of his illness (death warrant), he did not have faith or any belief in God or that there was a God. Near the end of his life, his faith in God was stronger than most Christians. His wife died a month before he did and he got up and said her Eulogy. Her Eulogy by him was inspirational and we all wept because this man spent most of his life rich and well to do and a happy go lucky kinda of guy. A good and kind and decent hearted person, but NO FAITH or BELIEF in any type of God.

After his death, his father and mother confessed their own faith in God and I believe that this was inspired by their son. They are not Catholic and please join me and my dh in praying for them, but they are "thinking" about God.

The wife that passed away before her husband did grow up Catholic and hopefully, I will see her again in heaven (or Purgatory). The husband who died and left two adult sons behind... Now their sons are asking my dh questions about God and the Catholic faith... So, please join us in prayer for them too.

We don't know why there is pain and suffering here on earth, but we do know that we are not alone. I liked what someone said about "giving it up to the Cross".

Most of the time, I'm not afraid of dying, but then there are moments of uncertainty... Then I think about this man and his wife and I'm not scared anymore.

What is death anyway? Death to me is separation from heaven and the Saints and being dead in Christ. So, I'll live as long as God wants me to and my flesh will die when it is my time, but my spirit will live on in Christ. I will not fear death here on earth, for I know to die here on earth is to be present with God in heaven.

I also starting to think about something else. The moment that we are born, we start to die. Life is a process of living and dying...

God's Peace,

D'Ann

Now, I really didn't feel anything about death... it kinda simple and many people try to escape by killing themselves.. to be honest, we need that people to come to church and talk to the Lord for they doesn't know what is their purpose on earth... We'll pray for those people D' Ann...

Thank you for your prayers. I'll join you in prayers for those who are lost and alone and afraid and might be contemplating suicide... God send them a guardian angel to help them to have hope and faith and strength to turn to our Father in heaven. The thought of someone having lost all hope and all will to live is just so wrong and so sad and heart-wrenching.

The Scriptures says that a prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Let's pray for them.

God's Peace To All,

D'Ann
