• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In front of God, works are worthless rags...faith is what matters.

Faith without works is dead.

Just the following throws your comment there right out the window. The scripture makes it undeniable you are wrong, as is pasture Anderson. I would recommend you look it up and read what follows this verse as well:

James 2:14-26 NKJV
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

Works is faith in action. You don't have works, you not only don't have faith, but you have chosen not to believe what Jesus said we must do in order to get to heaven

On the subject of hair: if someones head is pretty much all shaved except for a few dreadlocks (which go to the waist) does that mean most of their head is Christian but parts of it aren't?

Here is a qualified pastor that actually read the bible cover to cover more than 30 times:
Thirty times, eh? Wow! I wonder how many times he has studied it? I wonder how many times he has understood it?

In his own words, "Don't tell me about the Greek or the geek who told you that" so clearly he is an astute biblical scholar, and definitely not some ridiculous and ignorant hack thumping a KJV around.

Also, occasionally some hairs grow longer than others, so right before a haircut it's very likely that at least some of the hairs on the head probably have committed the unpardonable sin of being a few microns too long.

Probably best to spend a week in ashes and sackcloth after getting a haircut just to make sure you aren't going to hell for accidentally invoking God's wrath due to long hair.

I mean, after all, what is Christianity about if it's not obsessively straining at gnats and making self-righteous and false pious judgments against other people to make oneself feel more holy? I mean, that certainly beats actually having to try and be obedient to God by loving our neighbor and being kind to others. Being a white-washed sepulcher is religion made easy. Just pretend you're really religious, act contemptuous of others, and then spend the rest of your day worshiping your golden calves.
