okay.. I need help! I don't know how to take care of my hair. I straighten it about 3 times a week. Zero times at a minimum, five times at most. I bought and used special shampoo/conditioner that was specifically for dry and damaged hair, but my hair only felt more dry. When I started using my mom's Suave again, my hair felt a bit healthier, not as dry.

It's gotten terrible split ends. Is there anything I could be using to help prevent such horrible damage?

Well, I'm not goign to stop straightening it. though I do straighten it less often. But if ever I need to look nice, I need to straighten it. My hair is gross if it isn't.

Are there any products anyone recommends? I'm going to get my hair cut here soon I hope.

How bought blow drying on a low heat with a round brush? It won't make you hair absolutely straight, but it will be mostly and it will be smooth too, it's also less damaging than straightening. Your hair will only get dryer and more damaged if you keep straightening your hair.

Other wise, a trim should help, coconut oil is also nice for hair -either lots applied as a deep treatment and shampooed out later or a tiny pinky finger nail sized amount as a smoothing serum.
