  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I was addicted to DXM, also known as dexteomethorphan, and was for 15+ years.
I had a very comfortable life as a drug addict with a rather easy to hide habit.
But i was alone in that and deceiving everyone around me.
That was the kicker, a Christian life is a life of light, and as the bible says, coming "into the light, so that our deeds may be seen to be wrought in God". I had to face that a hidden drug habit cut me off from the body of Christ. There is no island Christian. We are meant to be of use to Jesus.
I am also on disavilty and am walking a similar path.
I'm findinng peace in praying for others and joy in the freedom that if a brother of Christ werw to ask, I could tell them honestly about my life and not have to walk around the drug habit.
God bless you in your walk and like He says seek the Kingdom of God first and all things will be added. For me this is people to pray for, drug free things and things that I used to think I needed drugs for but enjoy then naturally.
I might not be a lot of help but maybe we can pray for each other and help each other in that way.
I can say that Jesus has guided me through 5 months cleans and I thought with the drug out of my life I couldn't make it, but in Him I have! Thanks for reading!
