Figured I'd put this here...seeing as were all going through the same times...

Maybe its just stress, I dont know, but have any of you been having weird dreams recently?

For instance, I've been having the weirdest, freakiest dreams these past two months.

Like last night, for example. It was probably the worst dream i've had in a few years. My dog was talking to me, and I reached out and stabbed it in the face. I literally knifed it from the skull down. The gore was horrendous, and then she died, my little puppy died. Then, possibly the worst part, it looked at me and squeaked "Eric, why?"

I woke up with tears down my face and bile in my throat. I had to leap out of bed and run into my moms room, where my dogs sleep, and hold her for a solid 5 minutes to make sure she was okay. I wanted to cry. The 'big tough almost 17 year old football player' wanted to cry, and I did a bit...

Keep in mind, I love my dogs so much, I dont know why I'd dream of killing one of them...

I've also been having weird dreams where I'd be in amusement parks, but there would be a big glass wall running through the middle of it. On the one side, theres a happy, colorful world with happy families enjoying themselves, and on the other side, my side, its a cold, desolate world. I'm the only one there, all the tents are falling over, the place is in ruins. Its all grey. Its miserable, and I'm all alone.

Then theres been the dreams of aliens trying to get to into my house, and I have to protect my family...I'm standing in the hall with my shotgun, and all of a sudden I hear a window crash and screams of terror from the room I made my family stay. I try and run back but I'm glued to the ground and I cant scream or say anything...all while the aliens get to my family....all I hear are screams...

I've had these kind of dreams and similar ones for the past few months now. I cant seem to get rid of them, I cant remember the last time I actually had a good dream, or a dream that I dont wake up from in a cold sweat, for that matter.

Anyone else dealing with these?

im going to be praying for understanding and peace of heart for you :( those dreams sound terrible.

i have been having really vivid dreams that i always remember afterward, they arent so instense or stressfull as yours but they're all really shallow emotionally, the things going on are deep plot-wise but i just feel nothing. they make me feel extreamly weird when i wake up.

they're actually probably amusing if i werent so emotionless in them. there was one where i was on a boat as a pirate and i had all these cats. dozens of them.the sea was really rough and there was ocean water comming over the edge so i had to go and collect them and put them in a big wooden crate. but there were too many of them so i had to go searching around looking for another big box to put them in. but i couldn't find any that would fit them all. the other cats i put in before then got out and i had to get them all back again.

in real life i have three cats and two dogs so maybe that ties in with it... i really hope youget some peacefull sleep in the future :( <3

Whoa, that's no good. I'd hate that.

I don't dream. I sleep like a log, seriously, I don't move... And can sleep anywhere, any time, in any position... So, I'm not accustomed to nightmares or any of that.
But, it might help to pray about it before you sleep, think of good things instead of dwelling on the dreams you've had. And mull over your day as you're going to sleep, think about what you want to do, or want to happen. And, listen to some of Jakob's music or Mogwai something before you go to bed. That stuff seriously relaxes me, but it still is good music. That's what'd help me anyways, hope that helped.

G-d bless.

the only time i ever had any dreams like that was after i watched my first horror movie, six months ago. i can't handle scary movies htey give me nightmares every time, but try to read the bible and pray before you go to sleep. it clears your thoughts and it always helps me fall asleep faster and feel more rested when it wakes up.

my parents divorced nine years ago and ive gotten over it since then, but i used to get wierd dreams about three years ago although they werent anything like yours. I couldn't figure out why i kept having them so i asked God to show me and he used people in my family and other ways to tell me that i still had some anger i hadnt let go of from the divorce.

so overall, id say pray and talk to your parents or somebody else about it and maybe they can help

It could be stress, it could be inner thoughts of rage and you take it out on your dreams, or it may be something God is trying to tell you. Pray about it, talk to your pastor about it. If it is disturbing you this much, there may be something going on.
