Dreams about the Rapture?

I know this is a very old topic but i was brought to this thread by a google search. I am a very new member, with this being my first post and actually the first time i have been on this website. I had a very odd dream last night involving the rapture, and i felt that i needed to share it. I was raised Catholic, but have since stopped attending church and really my relationship with God has almost vanished. I feel overwhelmed, working a full time job, going to college full time, and a run a very small online business, and because of this i have truly lost my way.

I will first start by saying i have not watched any rapture based movies, tv shows or anything of the sort. I have not spoken to anyone about the rapture in many years, nor do i even know how the rapture is suppose to happen according to the bible.

With that said, last night my dream started out and i was at home eating dinner with my parents and siblings. As we were eating my youngest sister got up from the table and walked to the kitchen to get something to drink. All at once we all seemed to look up at her, and where she was once standing, there was a large human-like body of water that seemed as thought it was glowing. It was there for only a few short seconds before the water hit the ground, and the light inside rose into the sky. We rushed outside of our house, only to find the rest of the neighborhood scurrying out of their houses as well. All of us were looking up and watching only very few lights ascend to the sky. Before any of this had happened it was a very bright and sunny day out, but by the time we had made it outside the sky was very low and dark, and only a small hole of light was showing. It was this hole that all of the beams of light were going to.

All i remember after that was pure madness of the people around me. Most were getting in their cars speeding off, some crashing into others. Leaving their house doors wide open, pets going free, etc. I just remember myself kneeling down and praying with my fiance. When i woke up i was laying down with my together as if i had been praying.


I'm not sure what this means exactly, but the feeling i had in me when i woke up, and still have while im writing this is enough to make me want to drop my job, or school to make time to get my relationship with God back. Any input from anyone would be great.

I had a dream that it was rapture time Jesus was here on earth and his hair was bright red and was handing ppl locks of it as soon as i.saw him I started to cry unncontrollably but he did not pay any attention just kept passing his locks of red hair out but before Jesus came me and ppl from the church were.waking up the dead we would simply say c'mon brother its time to get up in the name of Jesus its time and they would rise I remember asking them if they had been to heaven and if they had seen jesus some were rude about it saying they had after this we were sent to a huge room with a screen but this room was for familys only as soon as I walked in and was about to sit down I was asked. By an angel in human form if i was married i told him yes then he flashed on the screen me and my wife going to a court room he said you were married by the state not in front of god so I grabbed my family and started to head out and he said wait were all men of god here if you want to to get married I will do it. Not long after this we were sent in this huge shaft and we were hurried there is where ppl were going to heaven but before the angels would appear i would see these magnificent colors oranges and purples and blues brighter than ever well all this had passed and I found my self at my dads house and i started praying when I was done an angel appeared and asked if i wad ok I said yes I just wanted to asked god if he can help my family walk in the rightous path of the lord she said every christian is in heaven do you know why your not i said no... She said that's right it was a female and she spoke in Spanish she said i dont like the way you dress so i asked god not to send you to heaven and I said I know I'm sorry I know the bible says not to dress with the modern fashion but to dress simple my grandma used to tell me all the time and she replied by saying I know I told you along time ago she said ok ill ask god to bring you to heaven are you ready .... I was about to go and i had my todler son in my hand and i told her wait i have to leave a note for my wife she explained how the rapture worked and told me that my wife was already dead and in the presence of the lord when she said this i woke up and just started to pray thanking god for everything he had showed me the dream was magnificent.

Much of what is thought to be a rapture dreamscape can also really be about what kind of smaller scale disaster is going on in ones own life...like the person who had mentioned that they had just lost a loved one.

We are waisting limited time in being preoccupied with the "end times" and the rapture. It doesn't matter how or when it happens....Giving love and bringing healing to others as Jesus instructed us to do, should be our primary focus and what we should be preoccupied with.

Jace, I think the message you got from your dream was a wake up call. Put God 1st above everything. I believe that we don't have much time left. If you are not saved, repent now and start living your life for God. Pray and read your Bible every day. He doesn't require much from us but He wants us to put our trust in Him and live for Him. Hello, have any of you ever had any dreams about the rapture? Please share. I have had a couple about the start of the rapture myself, and have also had one where I saw myself in the heavenly city (afterwards)with walls made of gold that was transparent in some strange way.

In my first dream, I woke up one morning and saw this huge dark cloud that was a large wedge tornado. It came within inches of my house but did no damage. Once it passed, a second tornado came, this time from a different direction. Again, it passed by my house with no damage. Then a third tornado came from a third direction and passed by my house, doing no damage. Then I saw a fourth tornado from the fourth direction, but this tornado was not fully formed. It also passed by with no damage. Then, my family was outside of the house. I saw the clouds part as in a scroll. There was a huge, brilliant rainbow covering the whole sky, and on one cloud was this brilliant brightness, brighter than the sun. I told my kids that it was time. We were rejoicing while others were looking on confused. Then we suddenly bowed, and I heard the sound of a trumpet.

In the second dream, I was driving on a highway and suddenly saw a tornado in one direction. I drove into a field looking for a ditch to get into. And then I saw another tornado in another direction and a third tornado in a third direction. Then I saw a fourth tornado that was not fully formed in a fourth direction. Then the tornadoes disappeared and the clouds parted as in a scroll. There was a very large rainbow and then one cloud was brighter than the rest and brighter than the sun. Then I heard the sound of a trumpet and the dream was over.

I've had multiple, although fairly short dreams. In one dream, I was stabbed by a man, and immediately afterwards had an out of body feeling as if i were able to fly around. Another time I was in a field of some sort, and I immediately left my body in the presence of others, who seemed astonished. I waved to them and right before I woke up I felt an increasing joy inside me. Perhaps the end times are near and I will be raptured along with my fellow believers! How exciting would that be?

1) About 12 years ago (I was aroun 12-13 years old or so) I had a dream that I was ascending into heaven in a beam of light with a close friend. It was almost like a tornado, but I knew I was safe and this was the rapture. It all happened so quickly. It was the most exhillerating feeling. However, when I got to heaven I was sent back to prepare my dad for what was happening, like being sent back in time a few hours to make sure my dad was ready. Upon arriving back in my bedroom (from where I had been raptured) I ran to my dad and told him.

At this point in live I was heavily involved in church and youth. I had always felt a desire to be close to God since I was very very young, and it was at this time that I truly blossemed spiritually. I kind of took this dream to heart. I felt I was being called to watch over my dad if you will. He had spent much of his life as an alcoholic and he and my mom faught a lot. I always protected him in some way - from the wrath of my mother. Though my dad said he was a believer, I didn't see it much.
I told him of this dream about a year ago, and asked if he knew if he'd go to heaven or not. I often thought of he and my mom (since I was living far away) at night and as he is approaching his mid 70's, I couldn't stand the thought of never telling him. He told me he had made peace with God and that he knew where he was going when he dies.


2) I had this dream about 2 years ago.
The nations of the world were being gathered up in one place to prepare for war. I was in a huge gymnasium-like place with some people I knew. It was very orderly with rows of chairs facing forward. In my mind I knew it wasn't the "rapture-rapture" but some sort of event preceeding it. As I sat in the chair, groups of people were being called forward to give up their cell phones (??). A tall dark African man was in charge of this. He had a foreign accent and was collecting cells. As I approached him, he took me aside and told me that I need to change the way I was living, that I need to be persuing God like I knew how to. I was sent back to my seat.

This dream did not have the same happy, exhilerating feeling as the first. It felt almost ominous and had a sense of urgency.
At the time, I was not involved in church anymore and wasn't attending regularly at all. I had moved away from home 1-2 yrs prior for my husband's new job and had been lazy about finding a new church. I had grown stagnant in many areas spiritually, so I attribute this to that warning I received.

I saw on youtube someone who had this kind of dream for a pastor, the pastor wasn't raptured. He told him that and after that the pastor got his life straight for God. It's a warning to get ready.

My name is Steve and in October 2001 I had this dream.

I was standing in a building and it was on fire and I was running for the door. As I ran outside I watched thee building beside the one I was running out of collapse ( I believe this was the 9/11 attacks). Then as I am walking down the streets I see tanks and military vehicles and soldiers everywhere ( I am unsure of this when this was or may be). Then as if out of nowhere I was floating in the air and was floating to a very bright light and there were other people floating with me and I knew this was the rapture and ALL I could think is I am not worthy and I was crying.

I woke up in a cold sweat and called my Mother and Grandmother and told them the dream. Approx 2 weeks later on the day the towers fell they both called me amazed they believed I had dreamed the attack and my Grandmother stated to me that she believes time is real short before Jesus returns.

This was a fore telling of 9/11, as it sure matches what happened....and then the rest of the dream views could be consecutive events in time, as there were no soldiers "with tanks" at the 9/11 site and the rapture hasn't happened yet...so you can see where these may represent three different timed event sections of one dream. ........ I knew this was the rapture and ALL I could think is I am not worthy and I was crying. Very sweet and "thank you Lord for your grace towards all of us who are not worthy"!! Thank you Steve for sharing your prophetic dream.

I had a dream about it but I was not elected to go up to heaven I stayed with the people I was lost I prayed histerically to god saying why god why?
I repented I prayed and that why god why!! after I was more calmed I noticed my siste and I were alone my mom and my da and my other sister were not there but I saw my mom going up a hill so I decided to go uphill then I was in a room like if the theme changed but NO I found my mon praying with my lil sister and I got in with her when I started prayin I realized my other sister the one that was with me was not there I lost my sister and that's when I woke up very very sad and relieved before all of this In the beginning of the dream I saw god very angry and I heard him say that it was time he was angry then I saw the angels and I said to my self I'm redy to go with you father but I was not like that now I think I felt just like the people will feel soo miserable guilty soo sad just horrifying scared.

Hi Victorina, thanks for posting your dream here! It is better to get that painful glimpse now, than regret how we dealt with people and God later.

God is so good, to prepare us for later.

Reading through this thread, I find it sad that so many people posted here as their only contact with CF, and then didn't return. I apologize for not responding while I was around... sometimes I don't read the threads with over 20 posts. But if any of you return and feel like no one responded to your posts, I'm sorry! We are usually better at responding here.

I know this is off topic, but what happened to all of the former threads that were here? There is only 2 pages available, and I know for a fact formers posts are missing.

Lately the forum has used some sort of compression/archiving device that does this, and it bothers me too. People put a lot of time into posts, assuming they can be used for reference later, to a broader base of viewers.

But notice that people were able to reach a thread by external search. I think that is still possible.

There are numerous dreams recently that the church will be snatched away while missles are flying. In a rapture dream I had after being taken up towards the Heavens I saw a clear blue sky with a US military craft.

I've had dreams of the US being attacked and being the agressor. We are so close to evacuating this dying rock. Ready and waiting Lord

i have had 2 dreams when i asked jesus to show me something some kind of sign and the first dream was i woke up to a strange sound like a church bell and whistling so i got up went out side and i seen black clouds and it sounded like thunder then red lightning bolts came from the clouds and when they hit something it turned to what looked like dirt or dust i seen houses all around get hit bye the lighting and i felt very uncomfortable like a was left or lost like when ur a child and you lose your mom or dad at a store or mall then i woke up.the second dreams was scary because i was walking down the street with my cousin and i seen these people getting pulled up into the sky and when they got so far up they started to turn into what looked like stars and i felt the same afraid feeling of being lost and i know it was over so i told my cousin to get down and pray so we did and when i looked back up they started to fade away the higher they got and the more they faded away the darker it got here on earth thats when i could here strange sounds and i felt the darker it got the more something bad was about to happen and then i woke up in that dream i kept saying ITS OVER, WE ARE DONE, ITS OVER PLEASE FATHER and nothing happened we were stuck because we didnt put our full trust and love in JESUS thats the thought i was thinking in my head

The revelation included in the dream ending, "is" the meaning and the message to you from Him. "Trust Him and His love for you".........So simple, yet profound. It is always a choice that we have to make...over and over again in our walk with Him. He asks, "will you trust Me in this"?...how about in this?....and as the lessons in trust and His love get deeper it slowly weeds out our doubts and fears and reveals the true depth of His amazing love (which for a human, in the beginning, is very hard to grasp, hang on to, and to trust).

He won't leave you behind in the rapture, if you simply choose/decide to trust Him and His very personal love He has for you right now.

i asked jesus to show me a sign again and so i was in the woods and it was like a opening in it like where a house should be it was dark and jesus was standing there he was not white or black but in the middle he looked like he was middle eastern he had long brown hair and a thick but clean beard and a brown robe on and then a rainbow popped up on the floor and it was very strange because it was on the ground and it was straight and long like a very long carpet but you could see threw it and i asked him what this was and he said this is for all the children that have been killed from abortion so immediately after he said that i could see children all colors running threw the rainbow and when they got to jesus they disappeared but they were inside the rainbow so they looked like they were in the ground but in the rainbow at the same time
