Dream On!

I'm just curious about dreams....do women usually dream more than men or do women just remember them more? I usually remember at least one dream if not more a night....but my bf tells me that he hardly ever remembers having a dream. Is this true for ya fellows and do ya girls remember?

I have lots of dreams. Most of the time I don't remember them to detailed once I get up, but I know I dream a lot. Sometimes I'll wake up laughing when I dream. I don't remember the details of my dreams to well though.

my fiance says he has only ever remembered one dream. I don't remember dreams every night, but I do remember some. Most often it's when I haven't slept well.

I recall most of my dreams. If its not important (a goofy dream) then i usually forget shortly after i wake up. If I believe its an important dream i try to jot it down right away so i have it for later.

Well, I dream a lot, but sometimes I don't remember them.

I'm also a psych major, and have learned a bit about dreams. Everyone dreams approximately 4-6 times a night, during what they call REM sleep, or rapid eye movement sleep. This is the lightest part of sleep you have every night...there are levels of deepness of sleep, and dreaming happens when you are in the shallowest part of sleep. Research shows that if you are woken up during your REM sleep you are more likely to remember what you were dreaming about, or if you are awakened right at the beginning of REM sleep and not allowed to dream, the more your body tries to dream the next night, and the night after and so on. Isn't that intresting? Or is it just me who thinks that's cool. Its like your mind needs to dream.

I rarely remember my dreams. I know I dream. I remember having them, but can't usually remember the details

I tend to get a lot of really strange dreams that I'll remember for some time. Last night I dreamt that I woke up and life continued on exactly as normal although everyone I knew was a penguin (boss, first officer, passengers, etc)

I sleep too deeply to dream... I will remember that i even dreamt maybe a maximum of about 4 or 5 times a year?

I rarely recall a dream after a few hours have passed. My best time to remember them is right as I wake up-

It seems like the more sound I sleep, the less I remember. If I'm having a night when I wake up a lot (which isn't often) then I'll remember more.

I'm basically not much of a dreamer. I just sleep and just don't remember dreaming I guess.

I'm pretty sure we all dream, it's just a matter of remembering it or not. Dreaming is like brain activity while sleeping, it's obviously happening, we just may not remember the details.
So when people say "I don't dream!" ... well.. they're wrong. Heh.
