I wish I had a more joyful interpretation for you especially since you are new to this, but I'm afraid what the Lord is showing you is this..
The 2 "caution" tapes speak of division ahead in this relationship. I sense the thunder in this context symbolizes impending trouble or problems that are coming which will cause, or attempt to cause, that division.
Please continue to seek the Lord about what His perfect will for you is and be sure to guard your heart.

Remember that a relationship can be worthwhile and good for a time, and then not appropriate later. We like to have closure and certainty, but what you heard earlier might be replaced with what you are getting now. Caution, you said it yourself.
People make decisions along the way, and will change. Locking in a relationship with a commitment does not make the relationship stay intact, or the same. People get illnesses and injuries, take jobs that overwhelm them, develop new interests, and change their belief systems during a relationship. What was good for you once might not be good later.
Notice how you were leading him. The picture is like a woman who is more dedicated to her faith, showing her loved ones how she found solutions and happiness. But the person not taking on the walk themselves. I am not reading into his life -- just explaining what I see in the scene. He is not walking on his own. This might be spiritual, or relational, or something coming up in the future that you have not experienced yet.
In any case, it seems important to respect what you have seen, and weigh your decisions with it in mind.

I believe the dream is a forewarning that some turbulent times are ahead which have the potential to cause division. So pray about it and ask Abba for wisdom

Hi Faith,
People filter things as they hear or receive them... even God and His words. You were told that you would help this person prior to this dream, and this dream confirms that for you a second time..... but that is where it ends...the caution tape and thunder is a double symbol of "stop/warning". Caution tape means "do not step beyong this point". Helping and assisting someone for a time doesn't constitute a long term relationship. The dream is a warning with the Lords exclamation point at the end (lightning). There is a very good reason He is telling you this ahead of time. People aren't always as they seem. God sees into hearts and into the future, and He is protecting you and trying to break through those filters of yours. Allow Him to guide you, you will be so glad you did.
