  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jordan took a look at his alarm clock, "Eleven thirty...he said, closing his book and laying down, in his bed. If I wanna go wolf watching in afew hours, I-" he yawned inbetween words, "should probobly go to bed..." in mere moments, he was asleep.

A forest slowly came into being, becoming ghostly at first, but then finally taking solid form. A slightly large wolf then appeared, from seemingly no-where. It yawned, as if it had been sleeping deeply, and stood up on all floors, walking, with a purpose, towards, seemingly, no-where.

The boy will become aware of me soon...I should simply tell him. But what if he isn't ready? The scientist will know...the scientist always knows.

Ragnarock, the wolf, soon came to a well, and dived into it. On the other side, he popped out, as if he were jumping, intead of falling, but he came out with a trained grace, and began tracing his own scent back to the portal that always changed, the one that lead to the scientist's den.

The dreamscape he traversed was interesting, to say the least, it was just your normal, average, mall, but few of it's customers seemed normal. It was a social focal point, that Ragnarock had built an entrance too, in order to more easily get too some of his contacts. He looked up at where the scent stopped. Seemingly nowhere, just in the middle of a staircase, but Ragnarock wasn't new, so he knew almost nothing was at it seemed. Still, it was puzziling...the scientist was always there...

Night. Stormie loved night; a few hours away from her foster siblings was always nice. But it wasn't just the escape that caused her to look forward to ten PM each day.

It was her dreams.

Stormie's dreams were always interesting, even if she rarely remembered them. More interesting than her life in the real world. In dreams, she could be someone she wasn't...do things she never dreamed possible...

Yawning, Stormie flicked off the light switch, pulled the covers over her head and closed her eyes. Soon she drifted out of this world and into another....

-----------------------------------------------------

Angel looked up at the forest canopy. Branches stretched as far as the eye could see, half-obscuring the sky. She smiled, spread her wings, and leapt into the air, her powerful white wings carrying her into the deep blue canopy.

Ah...sweet freedom....

Wind rushed past her face as she flew, blowing her white hair behind her, and she laughed. Angel, queen of the skies. Angel, lady of the Dreamscape. This was her world.

Tetsuya Oyamada yawned heavily. He absentmindedly covered his mouth twith his hand.

"Just a bit more...." he said, tapping his pencil rhythmically against the desk, as he prepared to finish his caluculus homework.

"Okay....limits....Now, what was Mrs. Cortez talking about today?" he fought off another yawn. He had been briefly distracted in class at this point in time. He looked at the clock. 10:30 P.M.

He sighed, closing the book, and setting his papers on top of it. "I'll get a good night's sleep, and maybe....I'll have one of those dreams again...." Tetsuya thought to himself. He loved getting sleep--it was one of his favorite things in the world, to wake up, and feel refreshed and vibrant--but he also had frequent dreams, where he was no longer Tetsuya--and even though, most of the time, he did not remember the dream, he always knew that something amazing had happened.

So, Tetsuya slipped into bed, and pulled the covers up to his face before snapping the desk lamp off. Inside his mind, he could feel himself, diving...deeper.....deeper....deeper, into the thick blackness of sleep......

---------------------------------------------

SPLASH!

"Wake up, Aaron!!" a voice shouted. The maid.

"Gack!! Water, again?!" Aaron shouted, falling out of bed. He was soaked, and so were his sheets.

"Your way past the time you were requested to meet at the Chamber of the Council!!" the maid shouted.

"Late, smate. You know they have to wait for me..." Aaron said. He pulled his clothes on absentmindedly, and walked out he door, grabbing his supply bag.

------------------------------------------------

"You were the one who discovered the strange portal in the Dark World, so we are sending you there to check out out.....Aaron." one of the council members stated.

"Thank you, Head Councilmember...." Aaron said, bowing respectfully. He immediately turned, and walked out of the Chamber, and began walking down the beautifully paved streets of marble of Shine City. Heading into the Dark World was dangerous for anyone with low constitution, but Aaron could handle himself easily.

"Looking for someone?" a voice said from behind Ragnarock, the wolf turned, slowly, his back lacks slowly becoming human-like, and his front legs becoming sort of like hands, his face was still mostly wolf, but his snout was a little smaller, and there was something...off.

"What...want?" he obviously had to struggle to get the words out, but Ragnarock refused to go completly human unless it was absoluley necessarry.

"I speak your native tounge," the, now revielded, giant praying-mantis, thingy, spoke in wolfspeak. His species was of many dreams, because it was published in many stories, he was known as a Thri-Kreen.

Raganrock looked kind of like a taller wolf, that was hunching down, partly, to the ground, like he was always crawling. "Do you know where the scientist is?"

"No-" even though it sounded kind of like wolfspeak, involving growls and some barks, it was still clikity, because of the creatures mandibles, "-but I know how you can find out. All he left was a note saying he was going to find a few Dream Knights. Oh, and Ragnarock," the Thri-Kreen took out a badge, and flashed it, it said MagicMall police (that's what most called the mall-city). Your being hired as a private investigator for this, he was valuable, and he still has some debst, so get him back here, now!"

Ragnarock looked up, his boiling-over-anger clearly shown over his face, I'll do it, but only 'cause I need him, don't think you can just call on me, whenever you want,"

"Good, now get out of my sector, wolf-scum, crawling beast arn't aloud on the stairs,"

Ragnarock growled, but let it go, he could use the extra Barder Points (MagicMall currency), anyways. He started trodding off to the Midworld gate. Midworld was what the mall-goers (or, "shoppers") called the dreamscape that didn't belong to nobody, and even though MagicMall was part of the Midworld, most didn't conciderate as much. He looked at the sliding doors, "Well, here it goes," Ragnarock said in wolfspeak, as he turned back into a full-wolf, and trotted off to the Outside...

D.K. sat upon his beast, overlooking the valley of his dreams. There had once been happier things here. Dreams of the future, funny nonense dreams, and marvolously exciting dreams. But no more. This was his life, and so it would always be. The nightmares no longer terrified him, they obeyed him. He had made sure of that.

He troked firenight and whispered into his ear. They suddenly dove off the mountain top and shot through the air. This, was D.K.'s world.

Ivan Hafreid wearily looked over at his bed. It was 4:30 in the morning, and he was feeling tired. He had just hacked into and torn to pieces his own program - a MMORPG - and was about to put back it together a better way, but he was having trouble concentrating. Drearily, Ivan looked down at his if statement. if(x>=y*(4-ticks.length))... then what? What was x again? Ivan struck some keys, and the program scrolled up to the line x=x-y*ticks[i[pong][/pong]];. But wait, that was in an if... if(ticks[i[pong][/pong]].actingUsers.contains(user)). What was he looking for again?

Ivan drearily scrolled down a page, then went back to Notepad. But he knew it was futile - this was the third time he had had to check back. When a programmer starts forgetting his code, it's time to sleep.

After staring hopelessly at his monitor for a few more seconds, Ivan scooted over to the bed and plopped down. He didn't feel like having dinner right now, although his second meal since getting up at noon the previous day had been big enough to count.

Ivan undressed without getting out of bed, then puleld the covers over himself and switched off the lights. It took him half an hour to fall asleep.

Gresholm stood stock still in the middle of a desert, every sense alert. Someone was trying to kill him, and that someone was sneaking up behind him. Gresholm didn't know he was there, or at least he didn't think he knew. So he was going to die. But wait - Gresholm didn't want to die. Perhaps he would know after all.

Iban fired a blast, as powerful as a thousand nuclear bombs. As he went into orbit from the force of the blast, Gresholm abruptly vanished. He didn't want to be there when it hit, although he hadn't decided where he wanted to be. It had something to do wiht where Iban was, so then Gresholm was flying vaguely in the cicinity of Iban, blasting him with his mind powers. Iban blasted back, but he kept missing, because even Gresholm couldn't figure out where he was. Suddenly Gresholm was bored. He didn't care about Iban - this was the third time he had killed the crazy android. He wanted something else. So he forgot about Iban and the desert (causing them to suddenly vanish)... and something else happened.

Gresholm was standing on top of a forest. He was definitely there, which was odd, because he usually wasn't, but he knew why he was in a definite location - someone was looking at him, or someone might be looking at him, and that tended to make things make sense - provided there was some sensible way to determine whether someone was looking at him. Gresholm was standing on top of a tree. He hadn't climbed the tree (it wasn't the sort of tree that he could climb), but the past didn't have to make sense - only the future.

((The forest is in the center dreamscape. It makes sense for him to be able to reach it immediately, right?))

(( I was not aware that the center of the Dreamworld was a forrest. Actually its a little hard to tell whats someone;s personal dream and what not.))

Luke took out his key and unlocked the door to the apartment. Quietly he sneaked passed his father, sleeping on his chair with bear in hadn and TV blasting. Luke opened the door to his room, and quickly closed it behind him. He then peered over to the alarm clock. 2:47 A.M. It was later than he thought, but none the less Luke plopped onto the thin mattrace, not even bothering to change out of his jeans, and tried to fall alseep. Luke knew of the nightmare that would fill his sleep, yet he couldn't wait to be there. Soon Luke was fast a sleep and his nightmare began.

...............................................................................

((forgot to mention, in the dream world his name is Shadow.))

High in his tree, Shadow sat, glancing over his land. The grave yard was silent, as all cemetaries should be. There was a large black gate encompassing Shadow's land, and full moon lighting up the night sky, but no stars. This was not place of stars, thi was a place of death. The dying bare trees were the only other sign of life , beside shadow himslf of course.

Shadow stood on the thick branch that held him high, and he spread his bat like wings. Then he leaped out of the tree and into the mist of the night, but his journey was not far. As he approached the black gate, he landed to the ground on his hands and feet. slowly he stood high and folded his wings back into place. It was time to feed. Shadow could feel the need to taste blood yet agian. As he had done many times before, Shadow opened the creaky gate and exited out of his world.

((I assumed the center of the dreamscape, Ragnarock reffered to it as "MidWorld", is multiple things...but I was actually thinking of starting in a forest, too))

Forest? Good, I can live with a forest... It was definatley true, the city-sized mall was definatley not Ragnarocks territory, but the forest? He could definatley survive in that enviorment. But, he was now suppose to find the scientist...where should hee start? The scinetist, for some reason, had no scent...

Without even thinking about it, Ragnarock sniffed about. An unformiliar aroma filled his nose, he barked at the tree the scent was coming from, and looked up high, where the scent was coming from. What was that up in the trees?

From this height, the valley looked like a wide trail of gunpowder. Shades of black and grey mingled into a valley of nightmares. Angel had heard of this place, but had never ventured here before. The rumors were enough to keep her away. It must have been her strange mood that drove her here. For some reason, she wanted nothing more than to see more of the Dreamscape, ugly side included.

Angel landed at the valley's edge, looking down into the abyss. Changed my mind, she thought, I'm not going in there. Spreading her wings once more, she took flight, narrowly missing some guy on a dragon.

Gresholm glanced down at the sound of sniffing. There was a wolf down there. Wolves made him nervous. But then, could a wolf be any worse than a nuclear android?

After a second's thought, Gresholm decided to climb down. He carefully parted the branches, then began to descend, with his back to the tree. As he wasn't familiar with climbing in real life, he simply floated down, touching the tree every now and then to reassure himself that he was climbing. When he was still at least five feet up, he realized that he was going to come down on top of the wolf, so he teleported next to it.

Once firmly on the ground, Gresholm wiped his hands on his shirt and stared at the wolf. He had no idea what to do with a wolf.

Ragnrock snarled at the human who teleported next to him, but that was mostly intict, he circled around the boy.
Slowly morphing into his 1/4 human, 3/4 wolf form, and then his half and half he spoke in english, "What are you doing here?" he stopped in front of the human, and raised himself, a little, so he'd be higher then eye-level. Though he was still on all-fours, he was huge. He looked like a large man, with greyish-black fur, covering his body, but, his head still looked wolf.

Is he lyng? He telported down here...perhaps that's just bercause he could not climb down the tree...humans can be pretty lazy...

Ragnarock looked at Gresholm a moment, then lowered himself to eye-level, "I am known as Ragnarock. I'm searching for the one known simply as: The Scientist. This is official buisness. State your name and puprose." He spit the last words out, he hated all the rules of MagicMall, but it looked like he was gonna get stuck as a detective, this was, after all, his third job for the MagicMall force.

So, he was being asked for his purpose... that meant he needed to get one, quick. "My name is Gresholm... and I'm here to eat dinner." As Gresholm didn't really feel like a scientist, he figured that the wolf probably wasn't looking for him.

Aaron walked slowly into the deep valley known as the Dark World. Dark fog swirled around him, and he squinted to see shapes that he knew would reveal his enemies.

Suddenly, a strange, oozing green creature lunged out of the fog in front of him, scraping at him wildly. Aaron grabbed the hilt of his sword, and drew it quickly upwards, slicing the beast in half.

"E-Level demon...." Aaron said to himself. He continued walking.

Long ago, Aaron's world had been ruled by one king, named King Amherson. King Amherson was a king king, but occasionally, he would have bouts of hatred, and cause a revolt within the people, like he had a multiple-personality disorder. Everyone wondered what was wrong with him, until one day....the Dark King split himself from King Amherson. King Amherson was left severly weakened, and so to rule Shine City, he appointed a council of 50 members. The King ordered a secret underground chamber hidden beneath the palace, so the Councilmembers became collectively know as the Chamber of 50.

As the Dark King tried to kill Amherson, he was unsuccessful, since the Dark King was all the evil collected inside King Amherson for so long. Instead, the Dark King rose up an army of demons of varying power, and created a seperate plane of existance known as the Dark World, just outside Shine City.

"Keheheheheheh.....Going somewhere?" a voice questioned. A pasty, pale man leapt down before Aaron. His arms were covered by two long sleeves, and the hilt of a blade was protruding from inside the sleeve. The demon wore a smile on his face, but his eyes were drawn into crazed slits.

"Go away. I'm busy." Aaron spat, aiming to walk by him.

"You know me better than that, Aaron. As the score stands, it's 100 to 101. I can't let you hold the win any longer, and I've been training...." the demon said. The demon reached his arm into his cloak, and grabbed the hilt of his blade, before dashing towards Aaron, sword drawn. Aaron drew his blade quickly, managing to block the blade....but not the palm strike to his stomach. A wave of air burst outward from the impact, and the fog around them dissipated slightly, as Aaron was flung through the air. He landed in a heep, but quickly rolled into his side to block an aerial jump from the demon.

"Kozumura...." Aaron growled. He raised his foot into the demon's foot, causing Kozumura to fly through the air. Aaron leapt to his feet, and leapt into the air after him. Holding his sword with the bladed edge close to his arm, he slammed Kozumura in the face with the hilt, before throwing his wrist outward, and slamming Kozumura in the head with the blunt end.

"102 to 100" Aaron said, sheathing his sword. "Heh....I'll catch up next time...Aaron, of the Twilight...." Kozumura said, before disappearing into the fog.

Because the Dark King had erected the Dark World to oppose Shine City, King Amherson employed several protective laws in the city. First, they would appoint a guard to protect the city's perimeter, and another division would go explore te Dark World with varying levels of strength. The closer you got to the center of the Dark World, the stronger the demons became--ranging from E-Level, to B-Level.

Sensing someone behind her, Angel turned to see who it was. As luck would have it, Dragon Guy was chasing her. She pulled up quickly, effectively leaping out of Dragon Guy's way, then looped around so she was behind him and began racing in the opposite direction.

A puzzingling look stole over Ragnarock's face, then it passed, the human must've been lying, "I am Ragnarock of...well, I'm sure you've never heard of it. But, I don't care what you're really doing, I've come to excpect that kind of things from humans...but what is your name? So that I can refer to you as something other then "scumbag human"," Ragnarock almost chuckled, "Your race has not exactly been kind to me,"

"My name really is Gresholm." Gresholm felt he should follow through on his promise to eat dinner. He peered about the forest, expecting dinner to appear just as it would have in his own dreamscape. To his surprise, nothing appeared, so Gresholm looked back at the wolf, wondering if it was to be his dinner.

Aaron came to a swirling portal before him, and leapt. Instantly, he was swept over by a great display of light, and he had the sensation that he was falling....

Then, he was on the floor in the center of the forest, and he could see a man, and a wolf-looking figure standing a few feet away from him.
