Dream interpretation

MichelleTyanna, I have been in dream interpretation for a long time; I thought I would tell you what I am sensing from these three dreams.....
In the first dream, I feel that the Rapture represents escape from the ordinary mundane things into heavenly things - which you were seeking - not necessarily "The Rapture". Being in a classroom is symbolic of this time in your life of learning about heavenly/spiritual things. The question "Are you ready to come with me?" is the focus of this dream. Whenever you are ready, He is willing to take you into higher things. The class being dressed in white robes signifies the bride having made herself ready, as in Revelation. An airport waiting area also signifies waiting to be transported into heavenly realms. The maze represents where you feel you are in your actual life - a place of confusion, having to make educated guesses about direction - but the truth is that the Lord is so very close to you and you can trust Him to lead you through these confusing times.

I feel that in the second dream the Lord was allowing you to see the scheme of the enemy; I don't necessarily think the dream was from Satan, but the subject matter was. Do you see the difference? Don't worry; you didn't sell your soul to the devil - it was a dream - a sort of training for you. The girl in the dream, I believe, represented a seducing spirit - and this would be a warning about something to come that wants to seduce you away from the Lord, claiming to be a "help"> The water might represent the spiritual realm. Have you ever been tempted to move in the spiritual realm apart from the Holy Spirit - through drugs, astral travel, or other occultic experiences? Some video games or online RPGs can also have occultic elements that seem harmless and fun but might have seducing spirits behind them..

In the third dream, I love that things turned from some kind of demonic intimidation thing to a visitation of Jesus. The fact that you were looking in the mirror in the dream to me shows that this dream has to do with you, and I believe your own change from being frightened and intimidated by the enemy to calling on Jesus to fellowship with him. You are obviously familiar with the promise that if you delight yourself in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart. I recently heard a sermon that approached that promise in a fresh way - our "heart" is the seat of our most profound desires, the ones that lead us to our destinies because they are intertwined with how He made us. In your dream, Jesus seems to be taking you to that place, revealing your heart.

I don't need to go out on my own, trying to interpret God and a message into normal things (and dreaming is very normal and happens almost every night) That to me is a slippery slope and I very on the side of caution with God and anything that can lead me astray, but that just my opinion.

I do agree that we don't need to go out on our own. Dream interpretation, like any kind of opinion- or advice- giving, always needs to be approached prayerfully. I believe there is too much fear of things of the Spirit that I see in your post and in the words and actions of many people I've encountered. We are born of the Spirit - should we then not learn to walk in the Spirit and live and move and have our being in the Spirit rather than confining ourselves to the material alone? I think we should learn, and walk, and grow up in Spiritual things.

I think many people seek out too many things. If God wants us to have it, He gives it.

That actually is not, in my experience, how God operates. Everything is based on our seeking. Throughout the Old Testament and into the New, and even now, God is waiting for us to seek Him - and when we do, He will make Himself known.

Going out and trying to have a vision or dream to me is setting yourself up for satan to have a field day with ya.

That is true, IF we are not submitted to, guided by, protected by the Holy Spirit.

Do you 'test' the spirits? Because if you do not, how do you know it is from God?

i grew up in presbyterian church. what they mean as test the spirit:
1. check with bible. against bible or not ? this is a very poor tools. Soon or later you will have problems :
1. how to justify armed force using weapons to kill people. Thou shall not kill ? yes ? no ?
2. how to justify doctor doing Euthanasia ? to kill patient yes ? no ?

then i learned from pentecostal line. what they mean as test the spirit:
1. you will have peace of GOD. This is little bit best, but what i think i got from GOD, other people may think i am delusional.

e,g, Pastor got a vision from GOD and he felt peace. He shared with church board and all of them think he is delusional. The board threathen the pastor if he did funny-funny things again, then board will terminate his job, his ministry.

Test the spirit with peace that the pastor has inside his heart ?
or
Test the spirit by accepting primitive church board opinions ?

then i learned from word-of-faith movement. What they mean as test the spirit is completely different:
1. Wof have few prosperity oriented teachings.
2. whatever no 1, speak it because our mouth is powerful.
3. choose to have faith on things that is biblical, biblical from wof point of view of course.

e.g i have a dream a bomb will explode in mall... what shall i do ? i don't have to worry from GOD or devil. I know GOD wants peace and prosperity, so i speak cancel in the name of JESUS.
e.g i have a dream a people fill in mall until it packed up ... what shall i do ? i don't have to worry from GOD or devil. I know GOD wants peace and prosperity, so i speak that church will be build in that house so people can have peace and prosperity and packed the mall to spend money and attend the service as well.

then whatever dream that looks so gross / ugly, i speak cancel in the name of JESUS.

I am going on the assumption that this question is for whosoever will answer it, de1929.

I believe that the closest to being correct is actually the pastor, tempered by the Presbyterians. Here's what I mean....

We need to have a solid Biblical base to what we believe. We need to keep growing in understanding what the Word of God means. This gives a knowledge of the character and ways of God so that we can recognize Him when we encounter Him.

When we are born again, our spirits are made alive, and one of the capacities of the human spirit is knowing. This is not experiential/relational knowing; nor is it intellectual/rational knowing. It's not based upon feelings nor upon the mind, and there is no process, logical or otherwise - it is just knowing. This spiritual ability to know is hard to explain in words, but all who are born again have it.

Without Christ, people do not have this ability. That's why in Deuteronomy God gives the "if it comes to pass" test - the people in that time period did not have the ability to spiritually know, so they needed another test to know if a prophecy was true or false.

We judge all things by the spirit (1 Corinthians 2) - that is how we "test the spirits".

I have had some awesome dreams and need some insight. One was with me singing inside a house praises to our father. And most recent rainbows over me like a dome. Then being in a place in front of thousands of people speaking of the lord and seeing the holy spirit come in and see people fall like dominoes on their face.

Buddy I can promise you these dreams are from God and I also can promise from experience that the meaning of them will come to you in time. But as for the rainbow a rainbow always represents God's promise

The question: do we have enough discernment to response all GOD's preordained dream that come to us ? do we have enough knowing ?

Just because God knows what you are going to dream because He knows all, doesn't mean there is meaning behind any or all the dreams you dream. You sound like you are saying that you need to interpret dreams as if God is sending you secret messages you need to decipher. There are a lot more concise ways for God to communicate with us fast get than dreams. Everything is speculative in dreams. Nothing is concise.

Just because God knows what you are going to dream because He knows all, doesn't mean there is meaning behind any or all the dreams you dream. You sound like you are saying that you need to interpret dreams as if God is sending you secret messages you need to decipher. There are a lot more concise ways for God to communicate with us fast get than dreams. Everything is speculative in dreams. Nothing is concise.

Ask Him.. wait on Him. I once had a dream where I saw my self with a big smile .. I then looked up and oh.. saw angels flying across this dark blue with stars sky singing.. I called a woman that had a bible study to pray and I WANTED THAT dream again. I have never heard music like that.. IT WAS AWESOME so beautiful. wow..

I had a dream where this woman taller then me with blond hair come up ask for prayer in front of many people like a church. I put both hands on the sides of her head and said "In Jesus name" and she fell backwards. I was then standing infront of others ask them them to be quite.

Your dreams just reminded me of mine. One to just bring joy encouragement.. the other.. what is coming for you?.. again you pray you wait.. KNOW He hears you KNOW He WILL tell you. He loves you. Father as he prays and asks.. give in the meaning of both.. for your glory Father in Jesus name..

It seems to function like a manifestation of the Spirit at times - there have been times when it's as if the interpretation is being shown to me or told to me as I read a dream. Other times there is more seeking of God and of Biblical symbolism that goes into an interpretation, and it's not as immediate. but... "It is God's privilege to conceal things and the king's privilege to discover them" (Proverbs 25:2).
