So...are we still going to pretend to have any hope of being within 100 KM of each other for any future Ted Lilly win?

I told you that it would be a good game as long as Lilly didn't let things get too ugly, but for a while it looked like he would...I got my hotdog the inning that he had the the 3-spot posted & I never bothered finding out how the runs came in...but Tallet looked really sharp the rest of the time he was in.

My team's game went alright, actually...my coach gave me the Devil Rays game sheet that had the BJ's starters & bench players listed with notes about them (since it was still somehow in the dugout when we got there for the second game).

We ended up losing...5-2, I think but we were playing a 19 & under team that was like four elite teams from last year combined.

Hope springs eternal. Look at Maple Leafs fans.

Actually, don't do that...it's not a pretty sight.

Yes, he was. As for the three-spot...I scored the game with my son. :)

Green, Gomes, and Huff all walked to start the inning. Not a good beginning, obviously. Lilly did get Wigginton to ground to 3rd...and Glaus hit Green in the head as he was heading for home; Gomes also scored on the error. Runners on 1st and 3rd, nobody out, two runs in. Hollins singled, scoring Huff. Paul sacrificed to get the runners to 2nd and 3rd. Lilly walked Perez, at which point Gibbons came out with a shotgun and poked Lilly all the way back to the showers. Tallet came on and got Gathright to ground into a force at home, and then got Crawford to ground one up the middle, which Hill caught on a great play, flipping it to Adams to end the inning with no further damage done.

Very cool. A souvenir worth hanging on to. Bring it down next time we get together; Kameron would love to see it. Speaking of which, he hit 43 at the pitching cage. Not bad, although he's hit 44 before at the Science Centre.

So, kinda like the Yankees, then?
