I'm physically and emotionally drained, I've already died inside its like I'm just carrying around dead weight

My emotions have died and I've given up on everything

Read read read the Psalms. David was also physically and emotionally drained and poured out his heart to God. Reading them is very comforting when you feel you have nothing left. For example:

Psalm 13 - For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
and day after day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?
3 Look on me and answer, Lord my God.
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death,
4 and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,”
and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
5 But I trust in your unfailing love;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
6 I will sing the Lord’s praise,
for he has been good to me.

thank you ArmyWife and rosiemary for your prayers and encouragement. i contacted a christian counselor and i am going to see her tomorrow. i hope things will get better , i feel like if i dont find the will to live after speaking with her, i wont have any hope
i cant get out of this, i want to, but other times i just give up

I pray for your counselling session tomorrow and pray that you will be open and honest about absolutely everything, don't hold back. You may need more than one session with her before you feel better but there definitely is hope, don't give up Praying for you, that's God will be done in your life and he will guide you in all things. I am praying that God will guide you through this Christian counsellor

thank you so much Lotty for your prayers. its a great thing what you are doing here on the depression forum and bringing everyone together to encourage each other.i wish i was more of a help, im too selfish i guess, im still struggling. for the first time today after about 3 days my mind feels clear physically, not in pain and cluttered. i really hope i can afford her sessions, i hope a turning point will come in my life.

Have a suggestion for you but only if you have time and if you want to. Write out all your issues (or print off a couple of posts you've done) and give it to the counsellor to read (or read it out to her). I know counselling session are costly, so if you have difficulty finding the right words or don't know where to start this may help make the most of your first session

thank you LottyH and okano for the suggestion, everything went great at the appointment, i opened up and expressed how i felt, i felt a sense of hope. i went saturday, on sunday i was feeling overwhelmed about school starting because my teacher gave us so much notes to study. but today i was able to persevere and i didnt get depressed

im sorry if my posts about giving up on life triggered anyone i was just speaking out of pain, it wasnt my intention to make anyone feel that way
