It's interesting. The combat is certainly faster than Origins was and it has a nice menu system, but I can't stand how the weapons are larger than the people wielding them. Drives me batty.

Two more weeks till the game comes out. How many preordered it?

I preordered it. The demo was odd, mostly because it seems to skip a lot of story and then just randomly jumps to Isabella in Kirkwall. I'm guessing that in the full game there will probably be quite a bit of gameplay between those two events.

I'm still a little apprehensive about Dragon Age 2 because of the lower quality of Awakening. That lower quality happened because the game was rushed. Dragon Age Origins had so much depth due to the origin stories. It will honestly very hard to top that, especially since they are locking the player down to the human race. I hope they make up for that in open endedness of the game world, but we shall see.

As long as it preserves the same level of open endedness of Dragon Age Origins and doesn't adopt the linearity of Mass Effect, it will all be good. That's not to say that Mass Effect is a bad game; it's just that Dragon Age is a different franchise with a different feel.

Dragon age 2 seems alot better then the original because it was much more fast pased and the spell system and skill tree system was much more complex but gave you more options to make your charecter the way you want them to be. The demo was very enjoyable.

I didn't pre-order but really wish I had. I can't wait 'til Wednesday or Thursday, which is likely when I'll be getting it. I *almost* got the official game guide at Fry's yesterday but then I figured that was dumb and I'd just spend all week drooling over it and doing absolutely nothing else 'til I got the game lol
