Good, what else? You only mention earthquakes, what causes hurricanes? Adultery? I also notice that you cite a sermon written by a pastor in 1750, perhaps you are not familiar with Pat Robertson? I will help you out.

David Wilkerson warned people about that Earthquake before it happened. He had pastor conferences in that city before the Earthquake. He talked about 1,000 fires and that was exactly what happened.

I do watch Pat Robertson every now and then. Not a lot but a little. He may not always get it exactly right, but he is not afraid to tell people the truth. He is not afraid to take a stand for the truth.

People think Porn and sex is just fine, yet they end up ravaged with disease. Or do you not believe in STD's either? HPV-16 & HPV-18 has a rather surprise package. In 25 to 30 years you can come down with fatal cervical or throat cancer. Often the doctor does not tell the family what the cause of the cancer was, but they know. They just figure there is no reason to open up that can of worms.

If your asking me I do not think Christians get away with anything. We pay the same price everyone else does. We are called to live Holy and Sanctified lives before God. If not then we will suffer in the flesh. God can heal us if we repent and turn away from our sin. If we go back to our sin than we could lose our healing and go right back to being sick again. The Bible says choose life or death, sickness or health, blessing or a curse. It is our choice.

I bet next he will claim that someone aborted a baby a month before every hurricane that ever happened. And gay couples had sex 48 hours before every earthquake. And Christians lied 24 hours before every terrorist attack. And witches performed voodoo rituals 12 hours before every tsunami. I just wonder what those "bad people" do during other times when there are no major catastrophes going on, do they behave well?

When you tell me that Christians have no sins I will tell you that the sins of non-Christians are responsible for natural disasters. Before that, I will take your point (and your Bible verse) with a grain of salt.

I don't think this is a C vs NC thing.

Sin is sin, no matter who commits it.

On the other hand, you might be right, too; since judgement begins at the house of God first.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

In any event, God handles the details.

These "prejudgments" are to keep mankind in general from reverting back to total anarchy.

It's kind of like God's way of saying, "Wake up! I'm still on the throne!"

It also has a secondary effect of not making our final judgment as severe.

People repent when these things happen.

Christians come out better, and atheists are known to get saved.

We have a cute, albeit somewhat inaccurate, way of putting it:

There are no atheists in foxholes.

HOWEVER, there are some (like our current ridiculer here) who may, instead of repenting, actually get madder at God and blaspheme Him directly.
