Hi All, I just wanted to remind everyone that starting this Friday evening (look up times for your local area) that Doug Batchelor is starting a revival series from Sept 7-15th. It is entitled "Here we Stand".

From what I understand, this revival series is going to focus on the attacks against the church from the inside. Because of ppl like Dale Ratzlaff and such, Doug is going to show from scripture that the SDA church is correct in it's teachings.

So this should prove to be a very interesting series. I hope you all make it a point to watch this program.

Perhaps we could discuss each nights topic after the show.

Anyone know if he is going to touch on the IJ or not?

God Bless

Project Update: Amazing Facts Conducts Satellite Revival 2007

Amazing Facts will present a powerful 10-day revival series called Here We Stand: Foundations of Our Faith. This live television broadcast will be an excellent opportunity to reclaim former or inactive members and for church members to introduce their friends to the distinctive teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The revival will be held in Lansing, MI., September 7 - 15, 2007 at the Lansing Convention Center and feature Pastor Doug Batchelor, Amazing Facts president and senior pastor of Sacramento Central Church. These meetings will also be broadcast live on 3ABN throughout their worldwide satellite network.

This dynamic satellite series will be held in conjunction with an Empowered Church theological symposium jointly sponsored by Amazing Facts and the Michigan Conference. Special evangelistic training programs will be offered for pastors and church lay leaders who want to help prepare and empower God’s church for revival and growth.

There is an urgent need and desire for revival in among God’s people, yet many believers seem hesitant and timid about sharing God’s end-time message.
“It appears today many of God’s people are losing appreciation for the strong Biblical foundations of our unique message,” says Batchelor. “I frequently encounter members who seem reluctant and even embarrassed about sharing the beautiful and defining truths God has given to the Seventh-day Adventist church. Others are slowly losing their first love. Compromise with the world is siphoning spiritual vitality away from many believers."

The revival will address many of these issues and emphasize the importance of standing firmly on the Bible-based doctrines of God’s remnant church. Key teachings such as the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14, the law and the Gospel, the return of Christ, the Sabbath, state of the dead, the sanctuary, health message, spirit of prophecy, will be highlighted.
“Revival ’07 has tremendous evangelistic potential,” says Batchelor, “and it provides an excellent opportunity for church members to bring their Christian friends who want to better understand the distinctive teachings that set the Seventh-day Adventist church apart from generic Christianity.”

For more information about the ’07 REVIVAL! meetings, call 800-538-7275, or go online at 07revive.com. Go online www.07Revive.com for updated information about the theological symposium and evangelistic training program .

Whoops--sorry that I failed to include the url for this event. And yes--like Doc's announcement says, 3abn is hosting this event.

I was running late getting out the door for work and didn't realize I had forgotten to say where this could be seen.

The sad thing is that at the end of this series we will still be here not having moved one step closer to the promised second coming. We are defending our corner of the vineyard but we are definitely not defending the Master of the Vineyard.

So wait, is it only going to be on 3ABN online? :( There seems to be a few churches around my area holding it, but I won't be able to attend. Erg.

My sound card is toast, so I won't be able to watch it.

I have 3ABN but I think a tree limb has grown in the way of the signal.

I'm in a similar situation. For me my computer works okay, and I used to be able to watch it easily compared to other streaming video..But now that they changed providers it buffers too much for me. :( I get like 30 seconds and then it's gone for another 30 secs. Even though I have cable internet.

If anyone knows of somewhere I could download this I'd be very VERY happy.

I'll pass on Batchelor's Amazing Propaganda, thanks anyhow. Especially the lecture Power In Purity, which I am sure will have Joe Crews' heretical, perfectionist fingerprints all over the it. Doug's target audience are the conservatives, so he does not speak for every segment of Adventism by a longshot.

I am, however, looking forward to Shawn Boonstra's Out Of Thin Air series:

A timely topic that will be sure to attract non-Christians.

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Which is stronger in your life: God or your besetting sin? Shouldn't it be God?

Ya know Night, when I was a kid, my Mom used to tell us that if we couldn't say something nice about someone or something, then it was best to say nothing at all. Did your Mom ever tell you that?

This thread wasn't intended for crude remarks against Doug Batchelor or Joe Crews. I find it very rude that you would attack these men as you did and especially since one is dead.

If you felt that this announcement held no interest for you, then why didn't you just pass by without comment?

Personally, I like Doug. He was the first Pastor I saw/heard, and I have a ton of his sermons on my iPod (bought specifically for sermons away from the computer, and an audio bible). For some reason I can relate to him a lot. I also adored David Asscherick for awhile, but I guess that's off topic. ;)

I haven't gotten a chance to see anything of Boonstra's, although I was recommended to awhile back. About the same time 3ABN started giving me problems. :| They need to have options for connection speed.
