  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I like watching television and when Benny Hinn's Ministry half-hour program comes on, my wireless headphones block out sounds from the kitchen like the refrigerator motor, ticking wall clock on the lounge wall, so that Benny's voice can be heard clearly as he speaks with another pastor who believes we need to be provoked in order to bring God's Word into solving life's problems:.
In other words, whatever negative situation or situations that seem to consume you emotionally, something positive inside you - the fearlessness of Christ would want to transform you spiritually with abundant peace and joy:.
It's really weird that the worst kind of situation can bring out the best in ourselves and when I think about Jesus and his future plan to save everyone, the world has to go through these ongoing crises such as military violence against protesters, terrorism, government dishonesty, crime in order for Jesus to prepare his sudden surprise return:.
:liturgy:The television news on bad human events seem to happen on a daily basis to such an extent that these crises are stirring up non-Christians to accept Jesus personally and secretly, even if they are not church-going, or deeply involved in another religion such as Muslim, or just being a disguised atheist - and God knows that these world crises will convert many non-Christians before Jesus will make his move to bring along the most mysterious and most advanced kingdom of God that would accommodate everyone saved since Adam and Eve were born .;'*';.

I have worried if I am a Christian. I have accepted God, but never got info a consistent scheldule of reading the Bible. I feel different from the world but my relationship with God is poor. I am lazy.

I have struggled with OCD and depression.
You become a Christian and a son of God by accepting Jesus Christ.

God asks us all to come to Him through Christ in faith believing
that Jesus is the son of God sent into the world to tell us God's
gospel message that if we will turn from our sins and and accept
Jesus Christ as the one who died for our sins in our place, we will
have God's forgiveness and we will inherit eternal life.

Here is a simple prayer for you to pray...

"Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without Jesus Christ in my heart, my life is meaningless. I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Jesus Christ from the dead and that He sits at Your right hand. I believe that salvation and forgiveness is found in Christ alone.

Jesus. forgive me now for every sin I have ever committed or done in action or in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Lord, my God and my friend.

I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on and I ask you now to fill me with Your Holy Spirit as this is your promise to all those who recieve You as their Lord.... Thank you Jesus, I receive You now and all that You have have for me with an open heart...

I have worried if I am a Christian. I have accepted God, but never got info a consistent scheldule of reading the Bible. I feel different from the world but my relationship with God is poor. I am lazy.

I have struggled with OCD and depression.

Relationship is a 2-way thing, in fact as Father, God wants to do the revealing. teaching etc of himself. Jesus stressed the need to be "born again", to receive God's Spirit.

A Christian is someone who has received the Holy Spirit because “Christ” or “Messiah” means “anointed one” and the anointing is the Holy Spirit. Romans 8v9 states:-
“ . . . you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
So, it's vital to receive the Holy Spirit, but he is invisible and we cannot trust our own hearts that we are right with God . . .
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" (Jer. 17v9)

(Jesus warns that many who call Him "Lord" will be told "I never knew you", he's talking about church-goers, not agnostics !). So, God must bare independent witness, the Apostles waited for this, it was known precisely when people received God's Spirit!

At Pentecost, the Holy Spirit began to be given as never before, making people sons of God!
The apostles reported:-
“ . . . they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. . . having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now SEE and HEAR. . . For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to ALL that are afar off, even AS MANY AS the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2v4, 33, 39, compare with John 3:8)

If you were told that what you could "see and hear" (the speaking in tongues, an unlearned prayer language - 1 Cor. 14:2, 4) was the promised Holy Spirit, and that this was to you and all who God would call, wouldn’t you expect to speak in tongues, or be told if this was not the case?

You should be obsessive and compulsive about sticking to the above since Jesus isn't confused, it's His way!

Remorse is good, and repentance should be part of our daily lives -- now move on with the promises and facts of what God's contract is with you. Don't use your own terms to define -- use what He gave you.

The gospel is forgiveness, sonship, His authority through us. The price was already paid for your guilt. So see it, ask for forgiveness, and move on. Ask God what HE wants to do in your life.

There are times where Christians do stumble or even fall for a bit and struggle with things as such as being slothful, it is not right to be content and accepting of sin but remember that no one's perfect and that God is a merciful and understanding God. We shouldn't make Christianity a check list and just check things off that we've done with God and continue on with our lives, just like having a normal relationship we have to let things flow naturally and not forced. Even when we've become a born again Christian, the Devil will try to come after us and lie to us and try to destroy us (1 Peter 5:8) and that's one of the reasons we have to read the bible so we can know the truth and not fall for the Devil's lies. Also just as we eat normally to feed our bodies we have to feed our spirit with the word of God. (Matthew 4:4) If there's anything in your life that is hindering your relationship with God you have to let go of it, you can not hold onto fleshly desires and God at the same time you either serve one or the other. That is my advice to you, may God bless you and keep you.

Laziness is a sin. We all have sin we struggle with. Do you see God as a refuge when you are distressed or in need of repentance? This is a good sign that you have a relationship with him.

We all have doubts. Very, very immense doubts even. At the end of the day all we can do is urge you to seek after God in anything and everything.
