  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Don't like the implications?

No I don't. That is the whole point. In doing what you said, we call it: speculation.

You may see that kind of thing at a scale of cell or sub-cell. But, that is all you have. The rests are speculations.
But in any case, speciation has been observed both in the lab and in the field.

It is not a "boast"--it was an answer to this post
Evolution is a myth.
How many life species we know? How many case on the evolution of life species have we observed?
A dumb can see what a myth it is.

-_- evolution is a continuous process. Humans are evolving with each successive generation, as is every other species on this planet.

I did say why; the differences arose from evolving within different environments. The cause is the why, no more, no less.

Too many exceptions in both way (same environment, different race and same race, different environment). So, it is a very unsatisfactory explanation.

Because it takes too much time to be observed, so it is a myth.

Then, as I previously suggested, you should learn something about the topic, instead of lecturing me on things you don't understand.

I did not, can not and will not lecture you. I am not that stupid yet. Neither do I have the mind to go back to study biology. All I am doing here is to ask you question and hope you can teach me a little bit with a language I can understand.

You failed to do that. I bet I can do a much better job if you were in my shoes.

Perhaps we don't understand the kind of information you are looking for. I thought the race question was answered reasonably satifactorily (for a chatroom). What do you feel the answer lacked?

Those answers do not have a rigorous scientific quality. They are just chats.

Are there black Africans originated outside Africa? Why not?

Because it takes too much time to be observed, so it is a myth.

Nobody has ever observed Pluto completing a full orbit.
Its orbit actually takes LONGER then we have known about the dwarf's existence, so how could we even observe it?
Not to mention that even if we would have known about it for long enough, it takes longer then a human lifetime. So no single human could ever observe it completing an orbit.

So therefor, it is a myth that Pluto can complete an orbit.

No.

Because black africans originated in africa.

Why would or should black africans evolve anywhere but in africa?
In fact, if you WOULD find black africans that originated OUTSIDE of africa, that would pose a real problem for evolution theory.

Or an asian tribe that evolved in southern france. Same thing.

Do you have such an example? Off course you don't.
Evolution, after all, predicts that you won't find such examples.

Not I want to ignore you. 1. Your scientific argument is simply too poor in quality. 2. You will reply my good-will scientific explanation with political talk. So, sorry. When I see a sincere scientific argument from you, I will reply.

I didn't give you any argument, so I wonder what you are gabbering about...

2. You will reply my good-will scientific explanation with political talk.

What "political talk"? When have I ever responded to a scientific subject with "political talk"?

So, sorry. When I see a sincere scientific argument from you, I will reply.

How about when I ask you a question?

Like, for example:
Why would or should black africans evolve outside of africa?

Or like in post 172, where I asked you to give specific examples of these "exceptions" you keep talking about? I asked you about such examples before and I am still waiting.

In fact, the current theory is that we all originated in Africa, so very likely it is lighter skin which evolved later outside of Africa, higher levels of melanin being retained where it provided some advantage--as in the aboriginal population of Australia.

Translation from juvenissun speak: "I don't understand any of this so I shall hand-wave it away and ignore it."

Bottom line: you WERE given a scientific explanation. Just because you don't like it, or understand it, does not mean that they are wrong.

The answers you were given in this thread were summaries based on a wealth of published scientific results. If you think they are unscientific, then the problem lies in you, not in the arguments.
