CIGARETTES HAVE GOT ME--I have quite for up tp 3 - 5 months, but never for good. Even if I don't make it, it's that many I don't smoke.

That ALL Depression is merely anger in some form (repressed, displaced, transferred, rage, etc.) We are angry on some level that we are not getting what we want, or our needs met, either real or imagined and those without a healthy outlet or in denial of such anger, become depressed.

I talk to God in many ways, sometimes like an imaginary friend. Speaking aloud w/o thee's thou's just like I am talking to you now. Sometimes it's just praise and gratitude--"Thank you Lord for your mercy or the view from my front porch". I ask ?'s (sometimes get answers) and I when I study the Bible I ask for revelation. Is that what you meant?

In other words . . .how do you spend time getting to know Him? Yes, God is everywhere but there is a difference between Him being near us all the time and spending time with Him -- getting to know Him, His will, His character, etc.

IMHO God has revealed Himself through the Bible and OTHER writings as well as in nature and through people/angels as well as in a personal relationship, that is obtained by seeking Him thru prayer, meditation and fasting (I fall WAY short on the last one). God is the originator/creator of all things and I believe in something called the 12-Steps which suggests the only necessary prayer is one that asks for "knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out". It is my belief that Faith and Grace are all that are required for salvation.

I don't think there is much room for improvement with dogs, except one that does not shed and perhaps had language skills-(Maybe like a parrott). (Or did you mean a virtual pet here @ CF?)

I would make a generous gift to my OLD home church (Liberty Baptist). I would pay off a few bills (including my house--Don't owe much thank God) and I would TRAVEL inside the US--there are a few tourists spots I would like to cover and some off the beaten path places, and of course I would take Mom/Dad & hubby.
