  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Ephesians 4:27 neither give place to the Devil.

90 percent of the times that we sin happen because we make allowance for it in our lives. We may say to ourselves, we should not do that, or even hate the sin. But in our hearts we are double minded, and still prone to thinking about it, pondering it, reasoning about it. When we do that we are tilling the soil for the evil seed to be planted, and then watering it:

James 1:14 But each one is tempted by his lusts, being drawn away and seduced by them.
James 1:15 Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin. And sin, when it is fully formed, brings forth death.

Once it is planted and growing it will bring forth the fruit of death. We have to realize that like God, Satan is a gardener:

Matthew 13:24 He put another parable before them, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field,

Matthew 13:25 but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.

He comes to plant his seed, and we water it with our thought life and will as we give in to the temptation mentally and allow for the sin in our life. As we continue to allow for it, it will continue to bear fruit and defeat us over and over again. We need to purge the sin by bringing it to God and repenting of it (turning our will and thought life over to God, in agreement with His word):

1 John 1:9 if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness

When we take sides against ourselves and agree with God about our sin, He will pluck it out by the roots and cause us to walk in His ways:

Ezekiel 36:27

And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Don't allow Satan to plant and water evil seed, which is how he brings sin into our lives. We need to have the mind of Christ, taking every thought into captivity into obedience to Christ:

2 Corinthians 10:5

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

1 Corinthians 2:16

“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

One last point I would like to cover is this….. Jesus Christ did not die on the cross so we would keep living in Sin. Jesus Christ shed his blood, died, and rose again so we can have forgiveness, his righteousness becomes our righteousness for the judgment day. We receive his Holy Spirit through believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are going to stumble on our walk with God, but you need to know that if you are stuck in sin, Jesus Christ gave us the power in Him through the Holy Spirit to be completely transformed into a new creature and be able to stand tall against temptation. Above all else, just remember one thing Gods Word is truth, and measure everything by it. It took getting the true fear of God in me and facing something I could not handle to make me a new creature in Christ Jesus. Don’t live content with anything less than what Gods Word says. I wish I had someone to teach me truly about Jesus Christ and beat it into me early.
So from my experiences these past few months, I know God is true to his Word, I know Jesus Christ is the ONLY way, truth and life.

I am stuck in sin myself. But I'm struggling with the basics of faith and grace. How could anyone expect me to stand tall against sin when I am not that far yet? I am struggling to believe in grace. It's a situation where there are layers of hurt and pain, abuse, low self esteem, guilt and condemnation, being also taught that by keeping the law I will please God... all these things have become twisted into each other in a messy entanglement of my belief system. I wholly believe that when the day comes when I can accept grace for myself, preaching the gospel to myself, become mask free and out of denial and self deception, God will lead me into healing where my sins will not seem expedient for me anymore. He will take away my sins, because I can't. He will.

Excellent, and yet there is more. :)

What if I shared with you, that the Judgment for professed believers [from the time of Adam unto now] is going on right now [since AD 1844; Daniel 8:13,14], and soon the whole living world is to be tested?
Revelation 14:6 KJB - And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Revelation 14:7 KJB - Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

1 Peter 4:17 KJB - For the time [is come] that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Revelation 3:10 KJB - Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Hey brother, it's okay to be honest about where you're at; God knew what He was getting into with you and He isn't afraid of it. He has a plan to get you out of that tangled mess and into His arms. Just realize, first of all, that our standing with God isn't based on our performance. None of us could ever perform well enough to earn Gods favor, because Gods standard of good is perfection. Jesus is the only one who ever met that standard which is why He is able to save us, because He was a lamb without spot or blemish. A sacrifice which appeased all the wrath of God against sin upon those who will believe.

God doesn't hate you on some days because you fail and love you on others because you did well. He continually loves you with an everlasting love. To accept grace you have to believe that He loves you unconditionally. He corrects those He loves, so if you are receiving correction, it is showing that you are a true son of His. Don't base your view of yourself based on what you think of yourself, or the lies Satan whispers to you. Base it on who God says you are, which is forgiven, blameless and righteous in His eyes because of the blood of Christ which was shed for us on the cross.

Which part would you like refuted specifically, or to be openly studied [cite the specific time index and quotation]?

Brother, is there any specific question you may have? I fear no question, nor Bible Study. In fact I was not born nor raised into the Seventh-day Adventist faith. I testify of God's own providences...

You came into the thread teaching SDA doctrine, which is why I posted the video. We're not allowed to debate these kinds of things in this forum, so I don't want to pursue this with you any further. I am not condemning you; I hope you know the Lord. There are many people who profess religion and don't know the Lord, orthodox or not. God bless

Brother, I came in with Scripture, and in all charity [1 Cor 13], my PM is always open to you. And I was not asking for debate, but Study and fairness of treatment in Christ Jesus.

Have you watched the video? All of it, for I have seen many such things, and many, many hours of such videos, and truly it becomes tediously boring having to sit through all of the blunders and misrepresentations, but I do it, so that those which raise the questions, may know I have thoroughly considered their comments in the Light of the Scripture.

I indeed do know the LORD Jesus, and moreso He knoweth me.

I care nothing for so-called 'orthodoxy', I only care about "Thus saith the LORD...", and "It is written..."

Jesus is our Savior from sin. He accomplished it on Calvary. If you're born again, you should know you are free from sin. What remains is for you to depart from iniquity.

(Jesus said, not all who say Lord Lord shall inherit the kingdom, because some are workers of iniquity)

Departing from iniquity is to walk after the Spirit who leads us out of the world, across stormy seas, through the wilderness, to our desired haven. This is the sacrifice we're called to make, where the old man is crucified, and where we get washed and sanctified.

If you put on Christ, you can be confident you will not hear the Lord say, I never knew you.
