Donald trump doesn't seem like a humbled human being..do you think he lacks humility? It seems like he is always praising himself the way he talks sometimes.
Which presidents in our lifetimes have not lacked humility? With the possible exception of George W. Bush, that's a valid criticism of every president we've had over the past quarter century.

He at least has something to be proud about when it comes to life accomplishments. Compare that with Clinton and Obama.
So he's made a bunch of money... Is that really such an accomplishment?

He also had a whole whack of money to begin with. But he has also had four(?) bankruptcies and a number of lawsuits as a result of the trail of shorted suppliers and contractors that he has left behind. I regard him as considerably less than what the USA needs as a president.

I am not moved in the least by these Dem attacks. The four bankruptcies were not Trump going bankrupt; they were four out of many, many corporate transactions and were done for sound business reasons, just as all sorts of companies file for bankruptcy for strategic reasons.

But I also know that correcting the record won't make any difference in debates like this. The "four bankruptcies" thing will remain a favorite jab, just like orange hair and the fictional Russian collusion.

Given what Trump was (as still is) up against, it was likely his vanity that drove him to stay the course long past the point where a decent men would have cried "uncle". What drove a 70 year old man to speak at rallies in ten states during the last three days of the campaign? It's not a character trait we ordinarily see as admirable, but in this case he put it to good use. It allowed him to say what millions of Americans had long hoped for a political candidate to have the guts to say, and not back down in the face of the wrath of all manner of public pressure.

Had Trump never gone into politics, his enormous ego would likely still be the only thing he'd be known for.

What he said was very different from what he's doing.

Pretty much the opposite as a matter of fact.

Example: "I will replace Obamacare WITH SOMETHING BETTER." Every medical group in the country, AARP, consumer groups agree it's much much worse. Hold him accountable for his blatant lies.

Carter, Ford, Bush Jr. were all humble.

The Republican majority in congress was the group who said they would replace Obamacare -- they had votes on it during the primaries in 2016. We have been seeing that the are unable to legislate probably because they fear losing their elected position and are playing it safe.

How can 24 million losing insurance be good.

And personal experience. Medicare has been better for me than any coverage I've had since the 1980's.
Maybe not, the Congress is looking at catastrophic illness being handled separately.

LINDSEY GRAHAM:10% of the sick people in this country drive 90 percent of the cost for all of us. Let's take those 10 percent of really sick people, put them in a federal managed care system so they'll get better outcomes, and save the private sector market if we can't do this by ourselves. That's a good place to start. (Transcript: Sen. Lindsey Graham on "Face the Nation," June 11, 2017)
Trump eliminated the unfunded mandates the Republicans were livid over since Obamacare was passed. Then the Supreme Court found that Obamacare was really just a tax, to which Obama added, we can't do this without increasing revenue. Now finally the GOP is on control of the Congress and the Oval Office and Graham here is starting to make sense of this mess. What's really sad is he can't get this thing passed until approval from the constituency is at least 12%.

Tell you what, let the Republican controlled congress know it will be ok. In 2018 if we get a Democrat controlled congress we can go back to expanding Medicaid. Then should the Democrats win the White House we can return to the unfunded mandate. Or they can do their job and get this thing fixed.

Don't really see a third option, but opinions vary.

He is an off the charts narcissist. These types are not big on humility. Their behavior does become quite predictable though.
