President Donald Trump thanked Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo for their service to his first administration but said neither will be returning in 2025 to his team.

President Donald Trump has dispelled rumors that United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will be returning to the White House in his second term.

“I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump Administration, which is currently in formation,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Mike Pompeo is a totally decent person. On the other hand I really wished I liked Nikki Haley, but I just don't.

Trump supporters don't like Mike because he publicly turned on Trump during that documents case.
Trump supporters saw Mike do it on cable news.

There was some genuine concern recently, because Pompeo suddenly showed up at a Trump rally.
Concern, because Trump supporters don't want him back. He betrayed Trump.

So Mike's out ... and Trump supporters are glad!

Well, I didn't vote for Trump so Trump supporters maybe don't like me either. Trump and his supporters may not like Mike Pompeo but he's still a solid. Not being in the Trump administration is Trump's loss and the country's loss too. But he will be available for future service in the future.

Trump made a mistake the first time around. He was too trusting. And he got plenty stabbed in the back for it. He's since admitted his mistake, and learned the lesson.

What Trump is doing now is no different than other administrations have done ... hiring people who believe in the same agenda, and will support the President. I am sure Obama only had loyalists near to him in his administration, and many of those same people now work for Biden.

Of course it's fine that you like Pompeo, but he's proven that he's not trustworthy when it comes to his support of President Trump. So maybe you can understand why he wouldn't be invited back into the Trump administration.

Nobody I know dislikes you, for not being a Trump supporter. But ... if you were hoping to get a job in the Trump administration? Well, I wouldn't hold my breath for that announcement to be posted in this forum! lol

Thanks but I'll decline that one. Unless there is a change of administration in the Vatican too. I would be partial to ambassador to The Gambia, where I served in the Peace Corps. Now that ambassadors won't have to be woke agents of abortion and turning boys into girls and girls into boys I could actually do it.
