  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does anyone else collect dolls? i collect porcelain and Barbie dolls, mostly Disney dolls, and paper dolls. I was upest when I broke a porcelain baby doll that goes on my bed when I make it up. My mom is upset about it and mad at me because I broke the doll, she bought it for me. zi'm trying to draw her pictures of dolls, or a picture of a Victorian lady with fancy hat and parasol.

I have a best friend who collects holiday barbies and the special ones like bob mackie. We try to round one up for her every year. Even though they can be expensive I can't imagine her mom yelling at her if one was ruined, just being upset with her. I'm sorry...

I collect alll kinds of dolls too! Mainly Barbies though. I have the foregin culture/ethnicity, I Love Lucy, Holiday, and Wizard of Oz Barbies. Sorry that one of your dolls broke. It can be upsetting. I remember when my teenage sister was 3 years old she used a black marker to scribble all over the box of my Japanese Barbie. :unbelievable: She didn't know any better so, I couldn't be upset with her. Though I did learn to keep my collection out of reach.

Is anyone here interested in paper dolls? I am drawing my own paper dolls. I'm very picky about the dolls I draw I have strict standards and want the paper dolls I draw to be perfect. I am drawing traditional fairy tales, a holiday doll, and I might try drawing some Biblical dolls, but I have a long way to go before I am finished. I need to work on drawing the rest of the fairy tale dolls, I have Snow White, I am not pleased with the rags the Cinderella doll is wearing, I might draw her over again and give her cute old fashion underwear.

I have a big collection of Victorian porcelain dolls. They're in display cabinets in the living room. I have Snow White gem princess doll, and Ariel gem princess doll in boxes, Barbie Island princess Rosella and the Island princess prince Antonio, and also Princess Luciana from that series. I have wedding Barbie and the groom Ken. Also barbie cut and style Rapunzel, Corinne from the Three Musketeers, Lumina the moon fairy from the barbie fairy series and one of the muses from diamond castle. There's 2 Holiday barbies, one in green velvet with red hair, and the other one is a set, from the Christmas carol Barbie movie, Eden Starling in the red dress with the mini spirits of Christmas past, present and future and the cat in it too. They're all in boxes. Plus i have some other barbies not in boxes that'd I'd like to make clothes for.

I collect action dolls. They are redressable action figures, like the original GI Joes & GI Janes. My collection is mostly 1990s GI Joes & articulated Barbies. I use them as lay figures, especially for faces. I have a degree of face blindness, so having a face in front of me really helps. I know how to change heads, so I can have the face I want on the body I want. I even have some Ken & other guy heads on Joe bodies...! There is all kinds of props & clothing at that scale, too, which I sometimes use for drawing. I refer to my action doll studio as Studio 126.

Presently, I have 70 commissioned male figures and 72 commissioned females.

Hi all,

I'm glad I found this thread. I am always looking for Christian friends who are doll collectors. :)

I am a huge collector of vintage Barbie, Topper Dawn, Takara Jenny, Palitoy Pippa, & all other dolls similar to them including clones. I've been collecting them since I was 4 years old, and I'll be 46 next week so that's over 40 years. ;) I also have some action figures, the 12 inch ones, as boyfriends for some of my Barbies.

Because of my collecting, I have met some incredible Christians & non-believers, and I have been able to not only bless others thru swapping & trading of doll items, but also share the Gospel in a special way. It amazes me how God can use a hobby of mine to reach souls for Him! To Him be the glory :)

I received a beautiful Rapunzel porcelain doll for Christmas in 2010. It's not from Disney's Tangled movie, but it's some doll artist's version of Rapunzel. She's wearing a pretty pink princess dress with sequins and has a cone shaped princess hat with long blond braid. I also got a figurine of a fairy sitting on a frog, other cool stuff. I got some Tinkerbell dolls too, Tinkerbell and her friend the rose fairy Rosetta.

check her out on ebay! RARE: Madame Alexander Nurse Joanie Collectible Doll

Making her first appearance in 1960 to the delight of little girls everywhere, "Nurse Joanie" doll was a fully articulated vinyl "companion doll" designed to the very high standards for which Madame Alexander dolls were so famous. Now she's back. "Nurse Joanie" doll is authentically recreated to the same high standards with impeccable nurse's uniform and fine detail.

This exclusive edition of Madame Alexander collectible nurse doll from The Ashton-Drake Galleries is dressed in the same nurse uniform she wore during her 1960 debut. This unique vinyl toddler doll with jointed neck, shoulders and hips comes complete with the "memory book" that accompanied the original doll.

My mom bought some baby dolls from Wal-mart, but they're not reborns. I don't know how to paint doll faces, afraid of messing up. We have some 18 inch dolls we plan on making clothes for. I am excited about sewing clothes for the dolls. I'd also like to make some clothes for me Barbie dolls. I now have Disney's Tangled Rapunzel, and sparkling Princess Cinderella.
