  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Long hairs are actually easier to deal with surprisingly. Yes, there is more hair, but it's much easier to pick up. Short hairs tend to get stuck in the carpet and don't come out real easy, where as longer hair will get sucked up pretty readily since it comes out in clumps. I had a Great Pyrenees who shed a small pomeranian every day and I currently have a Toy Fox Terrier and I'd rather deal with the Pyr hair any day.

I think I like middle-of-the-road. Our puppy (a Border Collie mix, we think) had such soft fuzzy baby hair! Now that his grown-up hair is coming in, it's medium-long, soft as a bunny, untangled, and shiny as obsidian.

We have a long haired black lab, Buddy, and I agree with the statement that his long hair is annoying and gets everywhere but it is pretty easy to pick up after.....I have a sign in my kitchen that says "Dog hair is a condiment in this house"!!
Gross but a fact of life, when my nieces come over and crawl around on the floor I always feel bad because their parents are picking the dog hair off of them for days! Oh well, Buddy is part of our family, hair and all!!!
