Has this problem really occured, or are you just speculating? I have never heard of anyone being offended that their friend offered them Christmas wishes. While some retail positions and public institutions stick to generic greetings, you as an individual are under no obligation to do so. I don't care what someone says, as long as it's polite - Happy Holidays, Happy Christmas or Bon Noel all work.I just hate how I can't even say merry Christmas to a friend without worrying about offending someone.
