I doubt that very much. Because a kid can get in trouble for bringing a BIBLE to school, they can even get in trouble for praying. The school system here does not alow it.

That really depends on the school district and the school administrators itself. Granted, it was a long time since I was in school, but we had our own Christian club during lunch where we can pray and talk about God all we liked. The rule was that as long as it was not forced on students in the classroom, and if students voluntarily did stuff on their own, it was fine. But then, during that time at a school in a different state forced a student who was wearing one of those funky Christian witnessing T-shirts to turn his shirt inside-out.

It's perfectly reasonable and sensible for kids to learn about other religions in an academic sense. I see no problem with it. Mohammed is an historical figure, after all, and should be learned about in the context of history.

If someone has a problem with what the public schools are teaching their kids, there are private schools just around the corner.

And Jesus is a historical figure as well. One of the best, but people don't teach about him in school.

I have no problem with them teacing about Mohammed, IF they teach about God as well. Have a history assinment about him as well. But they won't. Because most parents will brush it off if their kids are learning about other gods and religians. But they go in to freak city when someone mentions God or Jesus.
