Good example - Hitler started off very successful, but as the sins of Germany continued to pile up. God raised up an opposing force to bring it down. Murderers and thieves have curses associated with their houses. oh yeah sodom and gommorrah too. Jerusalem in 70 A.D.

Yes. For starters, you redefined "sodomites" to make it mean what you want it to mean, without any justification for doing so. Not to mention that your opinion regarding the significance and truth of this Bible story is itself an interpretation. Many Christians would disagree that the ancient men who wrote these stories and pieced together the Bible managed to set aside their own culture completely in favor of God's will. If you claim God is hard to understand, why do write in a way that you seem to understand what he wants so well?

I didn't say he was hard to understand I said understanding is not necessary! , but he it is hard for our self protection to understand , he is hard for our ideals to understand , and for our self envelopment to understand. it is pretty much impossible for those parts of us to understand his words. . I am saying that no one will understand until he wants his words to do their work. and you won't understand until it is worked out into your life. until you become what he needs you to understand , you won' t really understand it.
this is what he calls writing it on your heart so that you become his words .
when we are only playing with it in our brain it causes intense pain somtimes..

it was causing me intense pain to have to look into and through history and what man has done to history to find him back there someplace . I really loath looking into what has become the cults to see what really was started back there. and my mind hate to even think about it.

Well, again, that's just an opinion. In this case, I'm justified in telling you that you're factually wrong, since we're talking about my own brain.

I'm not any more interested in arguing "against" the Bible than I am in arguing against Hamlet. I find it fascinating and intellectually stimulating to study and analyze, which is why I'm puzzled when people claim that they aren't actually interpreting it at all. People dedicate their whole lives to studying the Bible in the original languages and investigating the source documents. There are no obvious answers. It's not a laundry list. It's a beautiful and elaborate piece of literature, and there's no shame in admitting to its complexity.

God has many reasons for doing what he does, but that was clearly one of them. Genesis 50:20 says that Egypt not succumbing to famine was God's work. Genesis 45:7-8 reveals that it was God's plan to save the Isrealites, and Egpytians.

Who was He focused on preserving, and what was the bottom line reasoning of sending Joseph to Egypt at that time?

What was the final outcome of all of God's intervention?
