That's a silly way to look at it, a play on words!
It's more like our will meets His will when we meet His condition.
You are completely relying on justification to get you saved. Vessel’s used for vanity is followed by writing on the wall, lest you forget. So, He consults with the clay before He acts. Got it.
So, He consults with the clay before He acts. Got it.
If it is His will to consult then it is His will. who are we to tell him he cannot?
So, He consults with the clay before He acts. Got it.
"If".
Hello Charlie, as a Calvinist, I completely agree with you (well, to be fair, I would have also agreed with you about that if I was still an ArminianHe is calling for "whosoever will." If you are willing to meet the condition of repentance you will be accepted.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Rom. 10:13
The Apostle Paul certainly did not give God permission to knock him off a horse and blind him however after Paul was restored he was saved by his belief. I think believing and receiving requires some degree of permission on our part. Paul could have rejected God by choice however he permitted God to take over his life. Permission implies consent so it could be a yes if though over carefully. It's a simple question, which requires a simple, Yes or No, answer.
No.Does God Need Your Permission in Order to Save You?

Command of Jesus. If we refuse to deny ourselves and take up our cross we cannot be His disciple. Luke 14:27
Gospel.
