CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

No God does not lie. However your question was, "does god lie?" And though you did not specify which one you are referring to, I suppose it is clear that, yes indeed all those little gods lie and do far more than that. But God is incapable of lying!

god may not lie but hes never staiight forword with you untill you cross the line. and at the beginning of time i think he was straight forward, but then we ****ed him off so much he couldn't hold a straight convo. (you can take most of this as a joke, a serious: hey someone tell me off; comic view)

Obviously you know very little about God, or you would fear Him enough to at least capitalize His Name, as you do your own. Read His Word and you will discover how straight forward He is!

Amen!! Hebrews 6:18 says that it is impossible for God to lie: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us

No Taff ...God is not a man that He can lie..See I said CAN lie.
It would be against His nature to lie or even to change His mind ..
You can trust every promise he has made..He is faithful and true

So does that mean you believe that God WILL lie if you do not believe Him with your whole heart?
Is Gods truthfulness dependant on your behaviour or His nature?
As for using our hearts as the judge of truth I would point out that God gave us a warning about that ..
Jer 17:9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Pro 28:26__ He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

God doesn't lie...he isn't straight forword either. By the way when was the last time he sent someone to talk to the world....just wondering

If God was a lyer, we would be in a serious dilema. One thing I can count on is that God never lies. His word always remains the same. I always admired that about Him. He can be trusted 100%.
