Does god lie?

Where do you get the idea that it is not in gods nature to change his mind?
Why did you reply by saying god is not a man yet you say it would not be in "HIS" nature to lie. It would would seem that an omniscient being would have the power to change its mind.
I don't think that anyone can answer the question of gods ability to lie but I would assume that god has the free will to lie but choses not to. If god was incapable of lying than what would be so noble about "him" telling the truth.

The attributes of justice and righteousness would prove the point that God cannot lie. It is not a matter of "free will"... but the perfection of the Godhead and the resultant righteousness.

The reason God cannot lie...is because what whatever God says...becomes instant reality.
For example....the universe was without light in the begining, and God said, Let there be light'.....instantly there was light.

I know I've asked some bizarre questions in my time pertaining to things of God, but that one I found really odd. I think God sometimes changes his mind though, isn't that in the scriptures somewhere? He would relent IF, and so forth? Or does that not qualify as changing his mind?
