  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And why would God not hate one who tried to overthrow Him? (Remember the war in heaven.)
As if there was any risk of the Creator being overthrown by His creation.

The short is no.. God can not hate. And...pfft.. when we read God hated..or killed or God harden so and so's heart. You really need to dig as to how it was org written. What did Jesus say about His friend that died? He sleeps. WE see death in this world as.. its OVER! And to kill = hate. But.. nothing dies. God can only do create life.

Before this world was.. Christ was coming to die and rise. God had a plan. We only see this bubble of time. We will understand all this when its over. But somethings.. He will not share yet. Has no impact in this world. God loved the world He left Heaven.. became what He made. Took the sin of the world. This is the SAME exact GOD as "hated so, killed, hardened". But we look at it through mans eyes.. mans meaning of some word. What side are you on God asked some. Then 3000 died. After Christ died rose..AMEN. 3000 came to Christ. :) We keep demanding this GOD to asnwer to US..to OUR understanding. A yeah He wont...ever.

When I was young I asked.. how can you send all these people to hell? He came right back with "for God so loved the world, everyone gets a choice". WE some way some how.. get to make a free choice. We may look at someone and never see the real choice they made in their heart.

Except God says he does hate so that must be the only answer to the question. Our own personal beliefs and opinions can't be considered on the same level of what God himself says.

What strange pride or overreaching to be like God came into the heart of Satan so that he thought he could get away with it, makes me wonder.
And Satan knows the scriptures that are written about his fate, how can he think to escape that which he can not. My sense is that prophecy of scripture is like a mighty flowing river which can not be stopped. Scripture cannot be broken, so Satan is being driven along his way by God and he is on the path that leads to his destruction and he can not escape, God has Satan captive to God's own purpose and will, and due to Satan's evil changed nature from how God had originally made him, Satan is out to get even with God in whatever way he can, yet of course he can not as he is a defeated foe.
