What about when He deals with the unjustified unjust?

St. Paul says of the Gospel, "through it the justice of God is revealed" (Romans 1:17), that justice here is the justice of Jesus Christ. God's justice was meted out on the cross for the ungodly, by which God is the One who redeems and rescues sinners. Here is the objective justification for all. The righteous obedience of Christ which is for all, by which all have been justified.

"But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. And the free gift is not like the result of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.

Therefore, as the one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
" - Romans 5:15-21

This is God's justice for the ungodly: Christ died for sinners.

Not all have received the subjective justification, whereby God through faith brings home and apprehends us in Christ's all-sufficient and righteous work; for there are those who stubbornly cling to their flesh and will, on the Last Day, insist on their own damnation. But this damnation is no fault of God's, for God has not willed that any perish, but that all be saved, and has accomplished this good for all, once and for all, through Christ.

It is not justice, which at the end, brings men to their damnation; it is the injustice of man himself. And God is not glorified in injustice.

The Justice of God, revealed through the Gospel, is the justice by which He has meted out all righteousness, redeeming the world in and through Christ for the whole world. The condemnation, then, does not come from God, but as the Lord Himself tells us, "And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil." (John 3:19). The wrath of God, revealed through the Law, is not God going out of His way to condemn us; it is the reality of the holiness and righteousness of the Law and our failure to abide by it--so that it is our own works which condemn us, it is our own sin that stands against us, by which we are condemned; and it will be our own works, our own will, that we are damned. Not the will of God whose justice is that we have life through His Son and has accomplished this great good for all.

The justice of God is that we live and have everlasting life.
It is the injustice of men that we are condemned and receive the damnation that we so desperately desire for ourselves. God is not glorified in our sin.

Scripture tells us that God does not desire the death of the wicked, that it is God's will and desire that all be saved. When men choose their own condemnation and damnation (God isn't the One condemning, men are the ones who damn themselves) it does not glorify God.

-CryptoLutheran
The fact that He would give us that choice, if He does, should bring Him great honor and glory, if you know anything about Him... And build the entire system, or all systems, even the Kingdom of Heaven or God, around that, should also bring Him great honor and glory... That human beings would be offered the choice and chance to decide their own eternal fate, if we do at all, should bring great honor and glory to Him... This means there has to be a hell though...

God Bless!
