No, plants come almost entirely from the air. And man is an evolved being. You do not have to quit being a Christian to accept reality. There are probably more Christians that accept the theory of evolution than believe the Genesis myths. Bible literalism is mostly an American disease.

Science says we will one day go to the stars. The bible gives us a way to find a job and a wife and be happy.

I don't base my claims on my word. I can support my claims. I am pretty sure that you can't. We can all see that you lack an education in the sciences. But as I tell so many creationists, that does not mean that you cannot learn.

What? Once again, Bible literalism is an American disease. America is not as rich as it used to be. You are remembering data from many years ago. America got rich largely because our founding fathers kept religion out of the constitution. If anything we have been falling further and further back lately. Both education wise and wealth wise. Creationists may be part of our education problem.
