  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does anyone know of a Calvinist Community Forum ?

A forum dedicated to the Calvinist doctrine? I know some sites afford a safe haven of sorts for denomination specific groups however, I'm looking for a community or message board that is basically Calvinist only.

Thanks for any links to such locations.

I rather think they're having fun debating Calvinists.
This way Calvinism and its doctrine is posted in other than the Calvinist forum. And when scriptural proofs that are irrefutable are then present the CC folks refuse to see that, is obvious too.
It allows for people to realize the difference and make an informed choice.

But don't tell the CC folks. ;) :D

I have a saved sister that was held captive in a mega "seeker friendly" church for years by her husband.. about a year ago they moved to a Calvary Chapel church and she says her husband is really engaged in scripture study now and thinks he may have been saved..

Yea she is very arminian ...but I do not know anything about Calvary chapel doctrinally

Is there a way to know what churches people attend ?

If they don't have it on their profile, you can sometimes tell by their method of debate.

When most Arminians encounter a well instructed Calvinist, they just politely disagree and move on.

The Calvary Chapel folks tend to argue with more vigor, with a condescending style and with emotion. They are diametrically opposed to most of the five points, especially limited atonement and perseverance. They are very Biblically literate, but from an Arminian perspective.

There have been many Calvary Chapel members who have become Calvinists, and when they do convert, they tend to be some of the best defenders of Calvinism.
