I've been other there a few times and the posts do make me sad. Then again, it doesn't seem that CF is really a sex positive environment. I'd get into trouble if I went over there and told them there's nothing wrong with their sexual feelings. If you are gay, then you are gay. It's the way that God made you. Why not celebrate the love that he has led you to, instead of living a life of self-hatred and fear?

What makes allhart's post even more ironic is that the OP is directed at an area of this forum that helps cause depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts in homosexuals. They come here and are told that if they just try hard enough then they will not be homosexual -- of course it almost never works -- and so they end up feeling as if they have somehow let God down, that they are evil because they just can't seem to change, and become clinically depressed and suicidal.

For example, the positions and research of the APA, the AMA, and similar groups agree that higher rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide are related to the discrimination they live through. In fact, more recent studies are finding that as discrimination by society is decreasing, so are the mental health issues of homosexuals.

Actually, if you ever study it appears that anti-gays start at least half and typically most of the threads about homosexuality. It is the anti-gay groups seeking to force everyone to follow their beliefs -- homosexuals merely wish to live their lives according to their own conscience, free of discrimination from people like you.

Specifically older children, disabled children, multi-racial children, abused children etc.

Truth is truth even if you don’t like it. the truth remains that gay and lesbian parents raise happy and well adjusted children that hare indistinguishable from children raised by heterosexual parents. Lying about the research done in this area does not change the truth into something else
