Heey, are there any Doc Watson fans out there? I was lucky enough to see this guy live back in September in the Ozarks. He inspired me so much that my guitar playing has been reenergized. He pulled me away from classical guitar and moved me to thumbpicking and flatpicking. I never understood bluegrass and folk until I heard him. Now i'm a big fan.

Big Doc Watson fan.

My brother in law was involved with the folks who do the Philadelphia Folk Festival, so I got to meet Doc through him. I can say first hand that Doc was extremely friendly and was very patient with new guitar players who peppered him with questions.

His version of "Old Camp Meeting Time" was the theme song for my radio show.
