Actually.... what I've done is allowed these testimonies to assist me to look at many, many scriptures in a new light that I am certain is vastly more accurate than the Soul Sleep theory that I once believed.
Forget "theories". They don't help one to find the truth. Rejecting them does not help either (when you think of something as a theory, and reject it, if it is not a theory then it is like falling into a hole dug by self.) ....

Yahuweh Says Clearly in His Word what He DOES to those who trust people's testimonies contrary to and instead of trusting Him. (He curses them, even if they are 'believers').

Thus, as often happens, "a new light" is "a way that seems right", and leads to destruction.

The only hope for people is to turn to Yahuweh, and trust Him (not men and not new ideas).

When people say "I am certain", yet are believing a cult/ error/ there is little anyone is able to do for them other than pray IF the Father directs such prayer. Even Jesus Said Plainly "NOT for everyone DO I PRAY....." .... and again it is written "there is a sin that leads to death. I do not say to pray for those..." "There is a sin that does not lead to death" (pray for these) .....

This is what I've believed since the mid-60s, and I've seen and heard nothing to change my mind. I developed the concept of ID for myself even though I'd never heard the term before.

Part of that influence was, ironically, the nature movies Disney had put out a few years earlier showing nature through the then-revolutionary time lapse photography. Using time-lapse cinematography, movies such as "The Vanishing Prairie" appeared to show plants appear instantly and magically from a dead landscape.

It occurred to me that if the natural theories of the creation of the universe were seen in a series of enormously time-lapsed dreams (four billion years compressed into six nightly dreams) from the point of view of the normal human eyes (no telescopic vision, no microscopic vision, no ability to see into deep oceans) of a Bronze Age man, the story would look very much like what Genesis presents.

This is an exceptionally good way to look at the big picture....... in my opinion anyway........
One of the reasons why I feel so strongly about this is because CIA economist Jim Rickards has stated as of 2014 that there were seven hundred and ten TRILLION dollars in the worldwide Derivatives market......
and two hundred and ten trillion in the USA Derivatives market.......
and a more Theistic Version of Evolutionary Theory allows for the possibility of greatly increasing the valuation placed on human life which...........

allows for the possibility of a REAL ESTATE BOOM in rural America.........
which is not exactly what most experts are expecting at this time but;........

Pastor David Wilkerson had insider information on this.

"There will be a sudden rush to buy farms, ranches, and homes in the country.

Thousands will attempt to flee from cities, hoping that a return to the land and

nature will provide security. There will be a growing urge to "get away from it

all"---and much money will be invested in land and acreage in rural areas by

people who have secret dreams of raising their own food and cattle and of

becoming self-supporting. The price of open rural land will continue to soar.

Acreage within 100 miles of most major cities will skyrocket out of reach to

all but syndicates." (David Wilkerson, The Vision, page 18,19).

Repenting requires, or includes, and would be returning to God's True Word, and not
any longer
being deceived by the tales of someone's testimonies opposed to and contrary to God's Word.
Any and all "new light" that opposes God's Word , like any message contrary to and/or different from the one true Gospel delivered once for all,
is not to be accepted - it is rejected,
and especially NOT to teach others contrary to God's Word.

THIS is NOT a good thing. It is based on a sinful, immoral system, and utilized by greed motives, not good motives.
(just as D.W. said as you quoted him: "....hoping that a return to the land and nature will provide security. ...")

I'd like to see science taught in a dispassionate way. No sneaking in disparaging remarks about anybody's faith or lack thereof. Science is agnostic, not atheistic or theistic. One person sees the universe as evidence of a creator (as I do). Yet another person regards that very same universe as evidence that there isn't a creator. A science classroom isn't the right environment to push such theological or philosophical views on others. Those who do so, whether theistic or atheistic, aren't being very scientific. It's a place to learn about science, not theology. If you disagree with current theories about how the universe works, develop new hypotheses, test them, and maybe publish your findings if you have the time or the inclination.

I just found a discussion about a group that I definitely want to
contact because they seem like they may actually be interested in the
powerful case that can be presented for Theistic Evolutionary Theory, (G-d evolved and Adam and Eve were Created).

If I don't put this into this discussion.... it will be nearly impossible for me to find this later on.....
