Do you understand the book of Revelation?

Hello. I am not a new christian but I have just started viewing a very simple and enlightening series on the book of revelation. I opened this thread to find out simply if there is a new christian out there, confused about this book and would look at follow an awesome series to help you understand a bit more about. Let me know and I will share the link here.

You'll be fine, Bible lessons are good but mostly for entertainment.

Get yourself a notebook, organize the chapters into 3 groups of 7, which gives you 21. Notice at the heart of the emphasis are the seals (ch. 1-7), trumpets (ch. 8-14), vials of wrath (ch. 15-21). You will notice that the judgments are in blocks of 7 as are many things in Revelations.

Like any book of the Bible read it as written and don't let anyone tell you the interpretation until you have. Trust me on this one, people go nuts on Bible prophecy

If you get that far I can ahow you some things, especially from the OT that are invaluable. Leveticus, believe it ornot is especially useful but you start with Joel. Get a basic exposition and the rest ain't nothing but a thing.

I believe the biggest problem is that people think the book of Revelations is about the future and it is about the past when Christians were prosecuted in the 1st century

No, but I thank you for the offer. I've watched so many videos and read so many articles that promise to make things easier to understand, and I still don't get it. I need more basic knowledge of the bible first before I can get into the study of the end times.

gain'tget a good outline of the book and judgments nearly memorized, the basics are easy after that. Give it a shot and invest in a three ring notebook, you'll never regret it.

I'll give you an example of how it can work for you. Do notice you came on here asking for the basics and you have yet to ser a single exposition. This should be telling you something. I'll thumbnail one for you real quick, 7 chapters in a paragraph, it's not that hard.

Jesus appears to John as the Son of Man, wgich bears a strange resemblence to the vestments of the High Priest, it says a breast of gold which sounds like the Ephod. He is tending to the 7 lamps, which is one lamp with 7 prongs, the Menorah. The churxhes liated are satellites of Ephesus, mother x hurch to them all. The seals start with 1-4 horsemen which represent the rise of the armies of the Antichrist, then 5 reveals the martyrs slaughtered in his bloody inaugural rampage. 6 is the first wrath unleashed leaving the armies of the Antixhrist cowering underground, hiding from the Lamb.

Keep listening to those videos and you will never get a decent exposition. You need that notevook just for exposition s and persenal study. It's an easy book, way simplier then Romans or Hebrews. Start with a basic exposition, you will never forget it. You'll find that approach no matter which book you study.

It's about the future from the first seal on, when us the last time the sea was turned to blood. The biggest problem with the book is no one wants to read and study the book, just talk in circles around it.

Wasnt asking for anything. Don't project. I have sources for my learning, and they aren't here online. You wasted a lot of time trying to make yourself look learned by writing out that long post.
