Do you think we will ever meet?

Some of you on here, I really consider good friends even though we really don't know each other IRL. I was just thinking about that and wondered

Do you think we will ever meet IRL aside from heaven?

I think we should all go on a cruise together. Wouldn't that be fabulous?

I would love to meet you guys! I may have to skip a cruise though, or meet you at port because I get terribly sea sick But I guess it could still be fun between trips to the bathroom lol

Being on a cruise does not feel like being on a boat. You really can't even tell. The only time I "felt" like we were on a boat was the last night sailing back from Italy to Spain and we hit rough seas. But even then it was nothing like being on a regular boat. I didn't think I would like it at all and plus I DID see Poseidon Aventure, and the Titanic, so I was more worried about the ship going down but after one cruise I am hooked. Haven't had the funds to go again, but hopefully am planning a cruise with my two boys for next year when they turn 21 and 18.

What could be either "iffy" or "fantastic"? What is being discussed is friends getting together in a group setting and not some sort of dating scenario.

Special note about seasickness: Hanging out in the "bathroom" is absolutely the worst thing to do, the ship's motions are magnified in that small room. My ex-wife found that out one night on a Lake Michigan cruise-- actually, the ship never left the protected waters behind Chicago's breakwater structures and the lake was near mirror smooth that night. She was OK on the open deck, but a trip to the "head" made her feel bad because of the motion in that room.

I'm thinking finances won't allow me to take part in a cruise again-- at least not an open-ocean cruise. Not unless I win the lottery or a rich relative dies and leaves me all his wealth. I'm fresh out of rich relatives, so things aren't looking good for that cruise.

Sounds fun though don't cha think? Anyway were just in the talking stages, it could be years or maybe never that it would materialize. Since a lot of us have been here for awhile, I just thought it would be kind of fun to actually meet someday.

Amen. That is the truth! It would be nice to meet on earth someday too though. Thanks for the heads up about the bathroom, mj, because that's the first place I'd be running to and I'd probably stay there hugging the toilet lol.
