I walked away from a fierce debate not that long ago with this same topic being discussed. The person threatened to put me on ignore. All I did was tell him the truth. I said to him 'Go ahead and put me on ignore. It seems to work quite well for you with the Bible.' I never stuck around to see if he actually DID put me on ignore. Neither do I care.

You really consider the debates here fierce? ….. I find the restraint shown by people on hot topics here impressive.

Yes ! It's quite obvious God didn't design us to be attracted to the same sex. I'm hoping I don't have to go into detail there. lol. It's also obvious that he looks down on homosexuality. Just look at what he done to Sodom and Gomorrah.
So you think that people choose to be the targets of violence, discrimination, and hatred, then?

LOL. MINE are. I have even gotten into fierce debates with the OP. Isn't that right, Hannah?
Yep, sure is. But I like your brand of fierceness. You don't attack the person, you just attack their ideas. That's the right way to debate, in my opinion. :)

I'm not sure, I think it may be a bit of both depending on the person...
I don't doubt that some people are more susceptible to this particular temptation - and thus would describe it as 'normal' for them to feel that way...
But I also think that some are confused and fall into that lifestyle through experimentation...

Yes i think they do have a choice.

God made woman as man's helper. To help support him spiritually, physically and mentally. Clearly this means that He created us to be together, not for same-sex relationships.

I'm not saying that I have anything against anyone who is gay but it is clearly stated that it is against God's wishes.

At church about 2 months ago, had 2 guys come into church and gave their testimonies. (*Chris & Michael) They used to be Gay. One day they were cleaning up the study and dusting the bookshelf when they came across the Holy Bible.

They started to read through the Bible and found out what they were doing was wrong. It was a choice that they had to made to break up as it was against their beliefs. They became only friends and started to go to Church and learning about the Gospel.

As they spoke. They stated that it was a choice that they had made to be interested in men due to previous relationships with females. Now Chris & Michael are both happily married to their wives with beautiful children.

I'm not going to say that this is always going to be the case. But a majority of people have choices in what party of sex they are interested in.

So you think that gays choose to be hated, discriminated against, and ostracized by society, then?

Yes, I believe it is a choice.

I've had personal experience -making- the choice.

That's about all I can say. I'm definately going to leave it at that for the sake of peace.
