  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was just thinking about the subject of tithe and offering. But not so much the "are we required" to do it part. I was thinking of the willingness part.

Paul said that no one had talked with him about giving until the one church. Then he also spoke of "robbing" other churches for the needs of another. It got me thinking about our willingness to support each other.

I have always given to others if I am able. I give food to the hungry and do my best to meet any need I can. I do give money and try to support those I can in ministry...BUT I find myself unable more often than I am able. The only other hesitation I have with giving to help other workers is when they are not actually doing the work, or they are being manipulative.

So I was wondering if you feel you support others in ministry, and if so, how? Would you say you do so through giving, speaking to others, or some other method? Or not at all? Why or why not?
