I like to believe that I don't snore (and maybe I don't), but chances are I do. A little at least. May next year I'll be going on cruise and will share the stateroom with my brother-in-law (my sister became pregnant and won't be able to go now), so I guess the verdict will be in next May whether I snore or not. :ahah:

I'm such a hypocrite though. I canNOT sleep when I hear snoring. Any snoring. I'm a very unforgiving person when it comes to my beauty rest and someone starts snoring. Lol

I went on a mission trip with a dude a few years ago that sounded like he was dying in his sleep the snoring was so bad due to sleep apnea. We had to wake him up a few times it got so bad.

Maybe I'm dense, but I'm not sure what good it does to wake a snorer. That person will just go back to sleep and start snoring again.

We were concerned for him. There's a certain position that some sleep apnea patients get into that endanger them. I can't remember if it's on their stomach or back, but it can be dangerous. This fellow already had heart issues so we were just waking him up to let him know he was in the wrong sleeping position.

In hopes that they'll roll over to their side, which often helps people not snore.

lol that funny rating was for the statement, "the person will go back to sleep and start snoring again", not funny for someone with legit sleep apnea

Why is it that people who massively snore end up falling asleep before us who don't? Talk about fairness.
Dude that's easily solvable. You said he had sleep apnea. You wouldn't even need to hold the pillow down that hard.

Sporadic snoring can be a sign of sleep apnea, which can be serious: ... In popular culture, snoring is viewed as funny, and people often laugh when a snoring person lets out a sudden explosive snort. The reality is this loud snort is often the person gasping for air as the brain is not getting enough oxygen." Feb 17, 2017

True. I probably would've given him the best nights sleep he's ever had too. And probably would have saved myself a needless court appearance for a stupid harassment charge he put against me later on too.

If a snorer does not have sleep apnea and their partner does, then what danger does the snoring present to the partner?

Dang, how did Common Core math find its way in here.

i hope i understood your question right...for the person who has sleep apnea, it's dangerous because there is a momentary pause of breathing caused by blockage, they call it obstructive sleep apnea. This can be troublesome because it can interrupt oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange, really bad for people with breathing problems (COPD) or heart probs. As for the person without sleep apnea, no worries lol, but if have a partner who does, depending if he/she can tolerate the loud snoring and eventually a bipap machine, wont be able to have a good night's rest.
