I watched the low-budget t.v. show "Land of the Lost." Anybody else?--It was about a father, son, and daughter who traveled back in time and lived among dinosaurs and sleestack. (The dinosaurs looked like hand puppets!)
I loved that when I was six and used to be so jealous of my brother on Saturday mornings because when it came on I had to go to dance lessons...grrrrr

I don't see anything about Lawrence Welk, Hee Haw, Love Boat or Fantasy Island???!!!
Saturday nights were Pepsi and Popcorn night and as a family we all sat around in the living room to watch our shows.
I cried when my brother was in high school and he decided to go out for pizza after the basketball games instead of spending Saturday night with us. Saturday nights weren't the same when he went to high school.
We still to this day talk about Saturday nights growing up.

Remember the game Cat's Eye? Each player had a colored plate with a cat on the front and colored marbles sat in this bowl and each player would push their button to get the colored marbles to match their board. Whoever filled their cat in first won.
Yeah...I used to cheat big time on this game. I'd get all my colored marbles on my side of the bowl and then would get my brother to play. He'd get so upset because I'd always win. hehe He finally caught on to what I was doing.

Nanoo Nanoo.....I think that's right.
Another hint was the rainbow suspenders.

I remember when it was cool to have a rainbow on the shirt, rainbow barrettes, rainbow stickers, or a rainbow bedspread. Now if we were to wear or have anything rainbow we'd be considered "gay":sigh:
At least that is the way it is in Australia.

I think I'm going to like it here. My kids are watching the cartoons I use to watch, like Scooby Doo, Speed Buggy, and the Justice League. I remember Fraggle Rock, the Muppet Babies and the Smurfs. But who here remembers He-Man or the Thunder Cats? I don't think I ever missed an episode of the Thunder Cats. And what about the A-Team? Ah, this is bringing back some memories. Am I getting old? (please say no...)
lol..nope you're not getting old.

we're just getting wiser ;) seriously :)

anywho i remember watching Scooby, the Smurfs, a few times Speed Buggy, I loved Fraggle Rock, Pink Panther, Bugs Bunny, Punky Brewster, The Muppets, The Littles, Davey and Golith and tons of others and lol i still love and think they are cool.

I also loved game shows in the
1980's like Card Sharks, Press Your Luck,
Wheel of Fortune when it was on NBC
At the time!

I really got a kick out of PYL and the "whammies!" What a fun show to watch back in the day! :)

Remember tv dinners used to come in the foil trays and we only put them in the oven?

Oh, my gosh! I remember Land of the Lost! I hadn't thought about that in years. Wow! And what about Atari? My favorite games were Space Invaders, PacMan and Donkey Kong. LOL.

And what about:

Light Bright
Rainbow Bright
Care Bears

Whatelse?

Punky Brewster! I loved that show. I also watched Different Strokes.

"Whatcha talking about Willis?" ha, ha, ha.

This is a blast. I don't know if I'm getting wiser with age, but I do know that I'm feeling old, especially when the music I listened to is now called 'Classic Rock'.

Do you remember Footloose? What movies and music did you use to listen to? Duran Duran? Glass Tiger? Oh, oh, remember Eye of the Tiger?

I remeber those bands, those were the big hair days. Never much liked footloose.
Eye of the tiger, is still my mental them song when I go running.
Do you remember Aha?
Movies I remember most would be, The Princess Bride, Back to the Future, and Superman. I watched those 3 quite abit in those days.
