If you mean physically/literally i'm curious how you arrived at seeing it that way. I've never seen any reason to think that it wasn't symbolic.Thats how he assended to heaven and that will be how he returns.

I am finding it amazing how few have even looked at that one little word in revelation. Thoughts.

Acts 1:9 ....he was taken up before their very eyes and a cloud hid him from their sight.
Acts 1:10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.
Acts 1:11 "Men of Galilee" they said "Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heavan, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heavan."
There is no reason to believe it wont happen just as it is said.

It sounds like the outer court of the tabernacle. If I remember right non-Jews werent allowed inside the santuary/temple, and only preists were allowed in the alter room.

Let me add for a moment, I do believe that the Muslims, Jews, and Christians all worship the same God, they just have different points of view of a great many things. (not so much between Jews and Christian, except on one major point that I know of, The Massiah)
