  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I did that over 60 years ago, and am so glad I did; and now I rejoice daily in walking with the Lord Jesus, the Christ of God, as my Saviour and best Friend. I continue to feed upon God's Word daily and learn more of His blessed ways, beside communion with Him to understand His mind and pathway for me; understanding "...more perfectly" (as the Bible example shows). Look up always!

The Holy Ghost, the Spirit of the Living God,
the Father of Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God.

You receive them all at the same time, as detailed in scripture:

"At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. (John 14:20) . . . they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:4)

In response, Peter preached:
"Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he (Jesus) has shed forth this, which you now see and hear. ... the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." (vv33, 39)

. . . that means you and me!

Have you received the same Robert?

Dear Robert Sanders. In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " Ask and you shall receive," we ask for God`s Love and Joy. We keep asking and receiving, then we thank God for Love and Joy, and share it all with our neighbour:
neighbour being: all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends.
The Bible tells us: " Repent and be Born Again," change our selfish wishes and wants, and become loving and caring and always friendly and helpful. God will see our loving efforts and God will approve and bless us. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on loving and caring. A Christian`s weapon is LOVE, with love we will overcome all wrong behaviour and enmity. People will treat us as we treat people, this imperfect world will be joyful and worth living in. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on loving and caring.
In Luke 10: 25-28: Jesus is asked: " Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answered: " In Matthew 22: 25-30: I tell you: " Love God with all your hearts, with all your souls, and with all your minds. Also: Love your neighbour as you love yourselves." Jesus also points out: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." God is Love, and God wants loving sons and daughters. The Holy Spirit will help and guide us, and Jesus our Saviour will lead us all the way: JESUS IS THE WAY.
We ask and receive, then we share all LOVE and JOY with our neighbour.
I say this with love, Robert. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
