Kids love the idea of Santa. It gives them the opportunity to have some innocent fun and excitement. Why would you want to deprive them of that?
Anyway, it does them no harm. I am still waiting to meet an adult who is currently having life issues because of the day they realized Santa didn't exist.
Why cant they have gifts without a bubble? The question is do you think Jesus wants us celebrating His holy day by lying to kids? Its a yes or no question.I don't have kids, but i think is not good either lying to them, or tell them the truth either since kids can have their fantasies and they are innocent so why burst their bubble, i don't know.
That is wonderful. Did you ever feel the pressures of society to push Santa on them? It can be hard to combat- I know I felt it and it was a strong force. Just as I can't get anyone on here to say " Yes I think Jesus would want us lying to our kids." And explaining why or " No, Jesus probably would not approve of that would prefer our gift of holiness." Everyone forgets everything we do and say is being recorded by an angel into the book that is our life. We will be held accountable for all of it- so how we celebrate a day that we have devoted in His name in His honor should really be celebrated as if He were sitting right there because He is! Christmas at my house has nothing to do with Santa. And every day is communion with God.

Giving worldly goods is good, because it forces people to practice giving. In a selfish society, that is critically important. I already save my money and avoid debt for the most part, so I need to practice being open-handed too. Christmas provides another opportunity for me to do that.
Lying to children about Santa is not something I believe in. My parents didn't seem to benefit, because I would constantly ask Santa for the big-ticket items they told me all year that we couldn't afford. Fortunately, I didn't have a major crisis of faith when I found out Santa wasn't real (I had suspected he wasn't real for a while at the time). IIRC, that happened before I was baptized. The Gospel has much stronger footing than Santa Claus, so I really don't see why anyone should assume that any reasonable person would be led to believe that Jesus isn't real just because Santa isn't.
Maybe when writing their names out? That's still one heck of a reach.

According to one theory, Christmas is not His birthday. It ’s another story that is far from the point, but we can celebrate His birthday on the day. Of course, we should thank and praise God everyday. However, it is good that celebrating it on some day specially, I think.
By the way, His birthday is sad day of Heavenly Father. Father gave us his only son in the day and Jesus’ birth was a start point to His death. I think we should thank and praise God of the Trinity while savor that harsh reality.
Santa’s story is fun to children. However, they should know that Jesus’ real and the importance of being grateful for it more than Santa’s funny lie.

I kind of think saint Paul would take issue it with for all kinds of reasons based on what is being claimed, and even who is teaching and whether or not they have any authority to do so.

He said " I went to write Santa a letter in school and I wrote Satan and I got scared and think satan is trying to steal Jesus birthday. He wears a costume but kids know hes bad because they are so scared of him and he wears red like a devil and kids find out he isn't real and then think Jesus isn't real either and I don't like Santa. I said " Wow son, you really thought about this huh?" And he started to cry and said " All kids care about is what Santas bringing them and they don't even know about Jesus and it makes me mad and sad." That was my first eye- opener to the santa idea. And it wasn't reaching.
Maybe we should first establish whether Jesus even wanted a "holy day" to begin with, let alone on December 25th...That is a great answer. So do you think Jesus would want His holy day to be overshadowed by lying to kids about Santa?

No he does not want this. What Jesus require of us is to give up our lives in this world. After we do that, we enter into his body. So he is the head and we are his body , doing his work. There are no days that are more special than the other. Everyday is a Holy day, because we have entered into his rest. Christmas is apart of the world. Your picture is not how most kids react to meeting Santa, and in my experience, greedy kids are usually the result of parents who overindulge and spoil their children.You clearly did not answer my question.

Thank you for clarifying. However, adults shouldn't go by 7-year-old logic. They need to impart adult logic to the 7-year-olds. Specifically, it sounds like he misspelled Santa and he needs to be reassured that he didn't really write to Satan, and just because the mythical representations of each of them has them wearing red suits doesn't make them anywhere close to being the same. If the school is public, what they can teach about Jesus is going to be limited, but Santa is safe because he's used as a secular symbol for Christmas. hahaha! Good one! I know its a big bummer but we know Santa is a lie and that the devil is the father of all lies. I don't know how we let him in as a part of the Lords birth but he took over and it is scary. I went in to Michaels, the craft store and the place is decked out with every different kind of ornament, tree, craft, gingerbread house, Santa all over the place. I asked them where their nativity scenes were. The lady took me to a back corner and said " I think we only offered 2 this year." They were in stock- one was the small glass figurines, no manger. The other was larger painted porcelain figurines- no manger. I said. " Wow. That's it? Im sorry, that makes me sad." I fought back tears leaving there and got outside, looked up at the sky and said " I am so sorry." I was apologizing for everyone.Please don't tell me that Father Christmas is not real.
I've been a very good boy this year. I've done all my housework and chores. I've tried to be nice to everyone. I've even splashed out on boxes of mince pies for Father Christmas and Rudolph to enjoy when they put my presents under my tree. I've also got them a box of sweets.
If Father Christmas is not real, then I am going to have to eat all those sugary things myself. It's just as well that I still have the telephone number for the tooth fairy.
