Do you need to be a Christian to go to Heaven?

Many would say the one that did not know Christ would still go to hell.

Others would say he would go to Purgatory and be prayed out by the saints.

Some would say that their existence ended at death, and that the one who followed christ wasted a lot of his life.

others would say they both Got to heaven.

A few would say that the one who did not know Christ would go to a place of waiting and there be taught the gospel and then have the chance to accept it.

The issue is, what would Christ say?

And one would say those answers or possibilities are too finite and there might just be another answer. That PERHAPS those who follow what they know to the best of their ability and are true to their religion will find a place in heaven next to Jesus and all the rest.

Good question. However those who say that Christ came and talked to kinda don't get believed, sometimes persecuted or even martyred usually by those that claim they believe or follow God...

The rest say what ever they say what they think Christ would say.

We as human beings cannot simply say 'he will go to heaven, he will go to hell...'. It is not our right, nor do we have the ability-only God can know these things, so it is no use trying 2 2nd guess him...

but the question was that everyone will go to heaven, which I feel is wrong, some people have and will always reject Christ. It wasn't that I was condemning them. On the topic, what do you think of some Christians believing that God has chosen who goes to heaven and who won't?

What does reincarnation have to do with going to Heaven? How does this fit into Christianity? I see that you call yourself a Christian but I don't see how reincarnation fits into what the Bible teaches. I am not trying to bash you. I am just trying to understand your point of view.

Hmmm, I'm intreigued about this beilieving in Jesus/salvation idea. What if two people lived indentical lives, both did he same things, both did the same mistakes, but aswell both tried to live in a 'moral' way and along this way did a lot of good. Now one person lived this way because they belived in Jesus and his dad god, and one did it because they believed there needed to be some goodness in the world so the human race didn't implode and trusted in themselves to do this. Who would go to heavn? Both?

THe one that trusted Jesus for his salvation.

What about if the Christian type one did all this not because they believed in Jesus but because they feared hell? How would that alter things?

Depends on what you mean by fearing hell. If he feared hell and then avoided sin and kept to goodness because he knew the nautre and power of sin. He knew that sin could entangel him, and little by little drag him away from faith, then i think his heart is still right, and he still trust Jesus for his salvation.

If he try to win salvation from hell by beeing good, he is not trusting Jesus, is he? However , these things are not black and white in reality, because one can be a true beliver and still struggle with condemnation etc. that can drive us to do "legalistic" acts, even though we in our hearts still trusts God for our salvation.

Reincarnation has to do with going to Heaven in that everyone will eventually go to Heaven (God's will) Because of many lives in which they have to learn.

As far as how it fits into Christianity, it may not fit into everyones version of Christianity (what their church teaches them), but there is more biblical support for reincarnation than people care to learn.
